Magical Dining Month officially starts today and will be running through to 30th September, so if you’re visiting Orlando during this time, you have to check it out! But, what is it? Well, Magical Dining Month is a fantastic event that sees popular restaurants create a special, one-off menu made up of 3 courses for just $35pp. This is a great opportunity to indulge in a bit of fine dining without the hefty price tag. That’s not all though, one dollar from every single meal is donated to charity. This year it’s the Best Buddies and Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
We’ve put together a list of a few of our favourite restaurants that are joining in with Magical Dining Month, and we think they’re all worth a visit. If you’ve already booked your Orlando theme park tickets you’ll be pleased to know that these fantastic restaurants are all nearby.
This modern steakhouse has a mouth-watering menu, in-house DJ and a stunning outdoor patio. This restaurant is on the more expensive side, so a visit during Magical Dining Month means you’re guaranteed value for money.
So, what’s on the menu? Start off with a tomato, olive & burrata salad or glazed St Louis pork ribs with a mango slaw, followed by fresh salmon, crispy chicken or strip steak for your main. Finally satisfy your sweet tooth with a rich chocolate brownie with a bacon maple glaze and Dulce de Leche ice cream, or a salted caramel budino. All that for just $35!

2. Shark’s Underwater Grill
If you’re visiting SeaWorld Orlando during Magical Dining Month, Shark’s Underwater Grill is the place to go for a bite to eat! This restaurant specialises in fresh fish dishes and all of the seafood served here is 100% sustainable. But that’s not all that makes this place special. As you eat your meal, you’ll be able to watch real sharks swim by!
Start off your meal with a Caesar salad or the ‘Shark’s Signature Salad’ packed with berries, mango, candied pecans, red onions and crumbled queso blanco- our favourite! Main courses include a mouth-watering filet mignon, grilled swordfish, seafood paella pasta and salmon served with Japanese sticky rice. We want to try them all! For dessert, try a traditional Floridan option of Key Lime Pie, or go for the rich chocolate cake with whipped cream.

3. Morimoto Asia
Masaharu Morimoto is recognised as one of the most inventive chefs in Asian cuisine and in 2015, he opened up this incredible new flagship restaurant at Disney Springs. We love this place for its fresh, local ingredients, traditional favourites and refreshing cocktails, not to mention its picture-perfect décor!
Morimoto Asia will be taking part in Magical Dining Month with a menu that’s full of flavour. Starters include kung pao chicken dumplings and soft-shell crab tempura, while lamb shank, crispy pork belly, grilled lobster and Shanghai noodles are the delicious entrees on offer. For dessert, choose a lychee & mango cheesecake, coconut sticky rice pudding or a spiced chocolate tart.

4. Amatista Cookhouse
The Amatista Cookhouse specialises in delicious Caribbean-inspired cuisine and claims to “satisfy every islander’s appetite”. This is another restaurant joining in Magical Dining Month that is conveniently located near the Universal Orlando theme parks. You can dine indoors or sit outside and enjoy the Floridian sunshine.
There’s plenty to choose from on the menu, but our favourite starter has to be the ‘street tacos’ which are filled with fire-grilled sirloin steak, corn, chimichurri and garlic sauce… delicious! Choose between grilled salmon, half rotisserie chicken, chargrilled beef churrasco steak or Caribbean spiced chicken pasta for your main. Dessert is another hard choice, with Caribbean rum cake, key lime pie and salted caramel pecan pie all equally amazing!

5. Terralina Crafted Italian
Terralina Crafted Italian is one of the newest restaurants at Disney Springs, after opening in June earlier this year. It will be making its Magical Dining Month debut this year, giving guests the chance to try out Disney’s latest culinary offering. If you want to enjoy a fantastic meal, with authentic Italian flavours and lakefront views, this is the place to go.
Starters include seasonal soup, baby greens and meatballs in a tomato basil sauce with creamy polenta and shaved parmesan. For your main course, choose between an artisan pepperoni pizza, chicken parmesan or a hearty spaghetti bolognaise with a rich tomato, beef, pork and pancetta sauce, with lots of parmesan on top. Finish off your meal with something sweet. There’s traditional Italian gelato or a lemon thyme panna cotta to choose from.
