Aquatica is a great place to come to get closer to beautiful marine life and enjoy thrilling attractions, without the busyness of Orlando’s theme parks. There’s plenty of places to relax and the park’s capacity is limited, creating a calmer atmosphere. There’s lots of things we love about this fantastic water park, but here are our favourites…
1. Ihu’s Breakaway Falls
Aquatica has lots of water slides that the whole family can enjoy, but it’s also home to some of the most exhilarating water slides in Orlando! If you’re a bit of a thrill-seeker, you’ll absolutely love it. Those who are up for a challenge, must try Ihu’s Breakaway Falls. The famous water slide has a reputation for being the steepest multi-drop tower of its kind in Orlando. Standing at almost 80-feet-tall, riders must make their way to the top, before stepping inside one of the clear “breakaway boxes”. When you least expect it, the floor will disappear and you’ll plummet to the bottom at a rate of 20-24 feet per second! A visit to Aquatica isn’t complete until you’ve conquered the mighty Ihu’s Breakaway Falls.
2. The Meal Deal
Aquatica have recently launched a new meal deal, and we don’t just love it because it’s great value for money, but also because the menu is delicious! For just £25 per person, you’ve got your dining covered. The meal deal includes 1 main meal, 1 snack, 1 side or dessert and 1 souvenir ‘Drink All Day’ cup which gives you unlimited drink refills during your visit. This will definitely come in handy in the Floridian heat, and you can take it home as a souvenir when you’re done. Simply choose any restaurant inside the park and enjoy tasty dishes like gourmet burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and taco fries.
3. The Luxury Cabanas
With over 84,000 square feet of white sandy beaches, Aquatica is the perfect place to unwind. We love lazing the day away at the park; something that’s made even better when you’re doing so in a luxury cabana- drink in hand! You can hire a Wave Pool Lounger for $15 that comes with an attached shade top (to protect you from the rays) and is great for chilling out on the beach in comfort. If you want to treat yourself to something a bit special though, you can hire a private cabana, with prices ranging from $49-$299 for the Ultimate Cabana. If you’re visiting in a group, this is great option as you can split the cost between you and you’ll have your own private space for the entire day. You can enjoy stunning views, and can even get food and drink delivered to you!
Did you know, the water is climate controlled so that the temperature adjusts to the weather? This means that whenever you’re ready to take a dip, you can guarantee the perfect temperature and jump right in.
4. It’s family-friendly
Even though there are some incredible water slides, Aquatica is a family-friendly water park that has something for everyone. From the sandy beach, to the huge wave pools, there’s plenty to keep you entertained all day long. Little ones will love Kata’s Kookaburra Cove, with its beginner’s body slide, fountains and surprise water spouts. There’s lots that you can enjoy together too, like a lazy river ride down Loggerhead Lane with amazing views of tropical fish overhead, and Walkabout Waters- a 60-foot-tall colourful rain fortress offering one adventure after another.
