Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates Announced!
The best family-friendly Halloween party in town is back!
If you’ve never visited Orlando and the parks around Halloween, you might wonder what the big fuss is. It’s not a big holiday occasion here, so there can’t be too much going on in Orlando around this time can there? Well, you’re in for a (ghastly) surprise!

Every year, Mickey Mouse dons his spookiest costume and throws the family-friendly Halloween party of the year. And he never gets tired of it, throwing this party on select nights over two whole months to make sure all his honoured guests can attend. This year, celebrations kick off on the 2nd September and continue over 29 dates until the big night itself, October 31st.

Mickey's Not So Scary

Every year, it’s one of the most popular events at the park as it’s a chance to see all your favourite Disney characters dressed up in their very own personalised Halloween costumes. There’s also a chance for guests to trick-or-treat throughout the park, which is perfect for little ones! Returning favourites also include “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade” a parade packed with spookily awesome characters and ‘fright-friendly’ floats! It’s the Haunted Mansion stars who really steal the limelight on this one as they take the main stage on this fun and family-friendly procession.

There’s also the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” and the incredible “Happy HalloWishes”, where guests will be wowed with spine-tingling pyrotechnics and a frightful mix of your favourite spooky Disney tunes. Musical highlights include ‘Never Smile at a Crocodile’ from Peter Pan and ‘Oogie Boogie’s Song’ from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Here is the full list of this year’s dates:

  • September – 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 30
  • October – 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31

If you’re attending this year’s party, costumes are allowed and creativity is encouraged but be sure to follow Disney’s guidelines on what is appropriate for the safety and enjoyment of other guests. As this is a family-friendly event, costumes must be appropriate and not too scary for the small children who will be at the event! Anyone over the age of 14 is discouraged from wearing a full body costume and cannot wear a mask, but waist-length capes, ‘transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords, and tutus’ are all acceptable – so do be creative!

Mickey’s Not-So Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed event which is not included in your general park admission. Keep checking back to our Walt Disney World ticket pages though, as we will be releasing these tickets very soon!
