It would appear that the SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment group are taking entertainment to new heights at its Orlando waterpark Aquatica, with the arrival of the tallest water thrill ride of its kind in Orlando - due to arrive in 2014! SeaWorld stirred up some speculation amongst theme park enthusiasts recently by releasing a height- test balloon over Aquatica; 'This type of balloon is commonly used by theme parks to check sight lines for new attractions,' SeaWorld confirmed. The height test balloon floated at a frightful 105 feet off the ground, in preparation for the new big thrill water ride.
SeaWorld are yet to unveil full details of this new groundbreaking attraction coming to water park, but they were keen to initiate a buzz and put it out there that something tall is on the horizon! The balloon that sailed over Aquatica was conveniently tagged with a '105ft' label for enthusiastic eyes on the watch to see and theme park concerned twitterati would no doubt have seen the #NothingTaller hashtags appearing in Twitter conversations!
As it stands Disney World's Blizzard Beach's Summit Plummet is currently the tallest water ride of it's kind in the US, so it will be interesting to see how Aquatica's new ride differs from Summit Plummet and how exactly it qualifies as 'the tallest ride of it's kind'!
