Kraken is already an exhilarating and intense rollercoaster featuring a 144-foot drop, a corkscrew and a Zero-G roll among many other surprise thrills, but yesterday’s announcement about the enhancements to the ride will take it to a whole new and immersive ride experience level.
Riders will be given the choice of whether to wear the virtual reality headset or not – so if the Kraken’s intense thrill is already enough for you, you can opt out! If you want to throw yourself head first into the crazy world of the Kraken though, you can don these special new headsets which not only cover your eyes, but cover your ears as well. Specially-composed music will be pumped into the headsets as you crash and speed around the underwater world of this epic sea monster, completely immersed in the rollercoaster’s incredible theming.
Although it hasn’t yet been revealed if the imaging will be 3D, SeaWorld have promised that they are developing their own technology that no other theme park has ever debuted before for their enhancements to this incredible ride. The new headsets are set to be introduced next summer at the SeaWorld Orlando park.
This is just the latest in a whole sweep of upgrades, improvements and brand new attractions that SeaWorld have introduced over the last year. Visitors who will be heading to SeaWorld in time for the new virtual reality experience will also have the opportunity to ride the brand new Mako rollercoaster at SeaWorld and Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens which both opened this summer to rave reviews.
Already thinking about your 2017 Orlando trip? Make sure to pre-book your tickets and benefit from access to three incredible parks for the price of 2 and free parking!
