1. Your very own wand
Something that every aspiring witch or wizard needs is a wand, and you can of course get one of your own at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Follow in Harry’s footsteps and head to Ollivanders, where you’ll see that the wand really does choose the wizard.
There’s thousands of wands inside stacked right to the ceiling, but you’re guaranteed to find the one that’s perfect for you. You can also pick up an interactive wand, that will reveal secrets and help you make magic as you explore the incredible wizarding world.
2. A pet to take home
Students at Hogwarts are allowed to bring along either an owl, a cat or a toad. If you want to find your own furry friend, there are plenty of cuddly toys to choose from that make for great souvenirs and are much easier to take care of!
Whether it’s Hedwig, Fang, Buckbeak or Crookshanks, you’ll find the perfect companion at the Magical Menagerie. We also love the adorable Pygmy Puffs, and when you buy one, you’ll get the chance to take part in a fun adoption ceremony in front of the entire shop.
3. Sweet treats
We know it might be a bit of a challenge to get these home without eating them first, but if you can manage it, you’ll be grateful for the tasty wizarding snacks once you get home. Honeydukes is the perfect place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth, and pick up delicious treats like chocolate wands, exploding bon bons, fudge flies and peppermint toads to name just a few.
Harry Potter fans will also be familiar with Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. You never know what you’re going to get with these unique sweets, so if you’re up for a challenge, take the plunge and see what flavour you get. Be warned, it could be anything from candyfloss to rotten egg!
4. Robes
If you want to dress to impress in your own set of Wizarding robes, then Madam Malkin’s Robes for all Occasions is the place to go. You’ll find Hogwarts uniforms and robes for each of the four houses, so you can take your pick from Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw and really get into the spirit as you explore the park. You can also purchase replica costumes that you’ll recognise from the movies. Look out for Hermione’s stunning Yule Ball dress and Dumbledore’s robes.
5. Something fun
The mischievous Weasley twins are famous for causing mayhem at Hogwarts with their hilarious pranks. Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes is their very own novelty joke shop, and it’s filled with hundreds of weird and wonderful souvenirs that you’ll want to take home. You’ll find sneakoscopes, Peruvian instant darkness powder, extendable ears, love potions, puking pastilles and much more. The colourful shop is definitely worth a visit and a place where you’re guaranteed to have lots of fun.
