The First Halloween Horror Nights House Has Been Revealed!
Prepare to be scared!
Universal have just announced the first haunted house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights scare-fest…

Yesterday, Universal made an exciting (but terrifying!) announcement. Halloween Horror Nights fans have been eagerly waiting for secrets on this year’s event to be revealed, and now, the wait is over. Universal have confirmed that American Horror Story will return for a second year, in the form of an all-new haunted house!

Set to be much bigger and scarier than before, the house will feature the creepiest content from season 2: Asylum, season 3: Coven and season 6: Roanoke. It will also be this year’s largest house, with Universal calling it an “uber-maze”. Those who are brave enough to enter, will become immersed into the chilling story and come face to face with the intimidating characters you’ve seen on screen.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect…

The American Horror Story haunted house was so popular last year, that Universal decided Halloween Horror Nights 2017 wouldn’t be complete without it. If you’re not familiar with the show, it first aired in 2011, boasting a star-studded line-up featuring the likes of Lady Gaga, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts and Cuba Gooding Jr to name just a few. Each season is like a mini-series, with new characters and a new gripping storyline.

The haunted house will bring seasons 2, 3 and 6 to life in the most terrifying way. In Asylum, you’ll travel through the decades of the notorious Briarcliff- a mental institution for the criminally insane, before coming face to face with evil serial killer Bloody Face. In Coven, you’ll find yourself in New Orleans, surrounded by the descendants of the witches of Salem. Prepare to face their wrath!

Finally, Roanoke will make you relive the horrifying story of the Miller family. You’ll be at the mercy of Piggy, the Polk family and the ghosts of the blood moon, and there really is nowhere to hide. To make every single detail as authentic as possible, Universal have been working closely with the series creator Ryan Murphy as well as 20th Century Fox to recreate the “environments, moments and scares” that you’ll instantly recognise from the show.

This is the first haunted house that has been revealed so far and we can’t wait to see what else is in store. Last year’s line-up included haunted houses and scare zones themed on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, The Walking Dead and Krampus, and we’re sure Universal will want to make the 27th annual Halloween Horror Nights celebration even scarier!
