Disney’s BoardWalk is a beautiful promenade with fantastic restaurants, unique shops and exciting nightlife. After a long day exploring Disney’s theme parks, this is a great place to come to relax and have some fun. We’ve put together a list of our favourite things to do at Disney’s BoardWalk. So, if you’re visiting soon, here’s 5 things you really must do…
1. Sing your heart out at Jellyrolls
If you’re looking for something a bit different, you can’t go wrong with Jellyrolls- a place where you’re guaranteed a great night! This duelling piano bar invites you to “let the good times roll” as a pair of piano playing comedians battle it out onstage. You’re in charge of the music, as you can request any song you like. Trust us when we say that these guys can play anything! As the piano duelling begins, grab a drink and get ready to sing your heart out.
2. Dine with your favourite Disney characters
Want to make your holiday even more special? At the Trattoria Al Forno restaurant at Disney’s BoardWalk, you can start the day by having breakfast with some of your favourite Disney characters. The Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast lets you dine alongside Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel and Prince Eric. Make sure you bring along your autograph book, as there will be plenty of time to chat to your Disney heroes. Fluffy buttermilk pancakes, breakfast calzone and frittata, are just a few of the delicious dishes on the menu.
3. Get closer to the stars
If you’ve got any sports fans in your group, a visit to the ESPN Club is a must. With over 100 TV screens, this really is a sports fan’s paradise. There are even screens in the bathrooms, which means you won’t have to miss a second of the action! Watch the big game live and soak up the atmosphere, with an ice-cold drink and some hearty pub grub.
You can get even closer to the stars you see on screen, by stopping at Sports Central. Here, you’ll be able to watch live interviews taking place with famous sports stars at the sports desk or in the radio booth! Make sure you check in advance to find out who could be making a special appearance.
4. Enjoy the FREE entertainment
Disney’s BoardWalk seems to become even more beautiful at night, as the lake glistens under the lights. The evening is also a great time to catch some of the street performers. There’s lots to keep you entertained with everything from jugglers and balancing acts, to caricature artists and incredible musicians. What’s even better, is that the entertainment is all completely free. As you stroll along the BoardWalk you’ll see plenty of impressive acts that grab your attention.
5. Rent a bike
One of our favourite things to do at Disney’s BoardWalk, is rent an old-fashioned Surrey bike. If you’re visiting with the family, this is a great idea, as it’s something that the big kids will love just as much as the little ones! Choose between a 2 or 4-person bike and set off on your waterfront adventure together.
The boardwalk is conveniently located just a short walk away from Disney’s Epcot park, so we’d recommend paying a visit after a day exploring Epcot.
