An extraordinary water theme park called Volcano Bay is coming to the Universal Orlando Resort, and there’s not long to wait! A 28-acre tropical oasis inspired by the Pacific Isles and unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, this innovative new park will combine thrilling water slides and relaxing beach experiences. Choose to unwind in luxury private cabanas or the lazy river, or put yourself to the test and face the zero-gravity drops of the Puihi slide in total darkness!

The park’s centrepiece will be a 200-foot-tall volcano attraction called Krakatau, that will see brave volunteers plummet 125-feet through the middle, before racing through a pool filled with guests (the first water slide in the world to do so!). By day, rushing water will flow down the side, but at night bubbling molten lava illuminates the breath-taking volcano.

Universal are keeping tight lipped on the secrets for now, but have given fans a clue saying “the immersive experiences will include major attractions at Universal’s theme parks and will feature Nintendo’s most famous characters and games”.

There are often rumours of new attractions in Orlando, and although nothing has been confirmed, we can still keep our fingers crossed! For some time, it’s been rumoured that Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida may be expanding to accommodate a new Ministry of Magic attraction! In order to get to the Ministry, wizards use a phone box as a portal, and Harry Potter fans have been speculating that the shiny red phone box near the entrance to King’s Cross Station could be a clue of what’s coming in the future.

Another recent rumour suggests that a new trackless ride based on the new Universal movie ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ could be coming to the Universal Orlando Resort.
