Where to get the best breakfast in Orlando
There is no doubt that breakfast is the best and most important meal of the day, but there really is nothing like an Orlando breakfast...

When planning your next trip to the magical land of Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando Resort, you won’t be able to ignore the abundance of brilliant breakfast bars, crepe and waffle cafes and all you can eat buffet restaurants available right on your Disney doorstep.

We spoke to restaurant and café owners as well as some true Disney fans for their recommendations on where to go to indulge in the very best in breakfast feasting before exploring the magical lands that await you at the parks.

Keke’s Breakfast Cafe

“It’s like your hometown diner grew up and went to the city.”

With locations dotted across Orlando, Keke’s Breakfast Café is a familiar spot for those looking to fuel the day. Serving fresh food, made to order, Keke’s is “dedicated to providing an outstanding breakfast; a meal where everything is handmade, using the best ingredients available, with fresh fruits and vegetables that are delivered daily and using fresh bread and dairy products.”

Carrie a blogger at Flying With A Baby would recommend a visit: “We love to visit Keke's Breakfast Place. It is a family friendly restaurant, with a laid back diner feel, lots of booths, huge portions of fresh food and open for breakfast, lunch & brunch - which is convenient if you are a bit jet lagged and not sure what meal you are in the mood to eat or need to fuel up before entering any of the parks. If you are in a rush, you can even order take-out. I recommend the Florida Waffle with perfectly ripe bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. They are delicious and very filling. If you are heading over to Orlando, then definitely stop for a visit here!”

With waffles, pancakes, stuffed French toast, egg dishes of all variations and smaller options perfect for the kiddies, you’re not going to leave hungry.

The Sanctum

“The Sanctum was founded on the idea that healthy food can also be wildly well-prepared.”

Sitting quietly on Fern Creek Avenue, the atmosphere inside The Sanctum Café is anything but timid. Bursting with colours and flavours, the range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes they serve has made them a hot-spot for locals and tourists alike.

We spoke to Chelsie, who alongside her husband Jamie owns that café. She explained why plant-based ingredients are so important to the breakfast dishes they create: “With breakfast being the first meal of the day, it’s so important that it is healthy to start your day off on the right foot.

“At The Sanctum, our chef is not only a chef, but also a clinical and holistic nutritionist, so “healthy” is not just a trigger word we throw around but something we actually understand and can execute. We design every menu item with health in mind and are intentional in every product we source from the spices we use, to the flours and sugars we source to the types of oil we use (and don’t use). The Sanctum is unique in that it is able to offer you food that you can actually trust. You can taste and feel the difference.”
