Disney Imagineers Release Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Animatronics Video!
Never have you seen the Seven Dwarfs look quite like this!
Disney have released this exciting new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train video that unveils just how the Walt Disney Imagineers achieved the stunning and unbelievably realistic visuals that will feature in the shortly opening Disney attraction!

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train needs no introduction - we've been talking about it for three years now! This new runaway train coaster ride, arriving at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park in the next few days or so, is the final attraction to complete the colossal Magic Kingdom New Fantasyland expansion and indeed, it is the piece de resistance.

The last time we wrote about the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, we were sharing some amazing footage of the virtual ride along of the family friendly coaster - the footage we're revealing today gives away so much more. Walt Disney Imagineers give a sneak peek of the visuals featured in the attraction, which are crucial in transporting you to a world of make believe.  And believe it you will! Disney Imagineers have combined their creativity with the latest technology to create Seven Dwarfs animatronics so lifelike you won't believe your eyes.

For those of you that didn't know, Audio Animatronics was created by Walt Disney Imagineering. Animatronics refers to animated robotics, which you will have seen in many Walt Disney World attractions. Disney's famous 'It's a Small World' attraction features over 300 animatronic dolls and, Johnny Depp fans will no doubt have taken a particular liking to the uncanny Captain Jack Sparrow animatronic in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

As impressive as Walt Disney Imagineer's animatronics have been to date, in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction the technology, the robotics and the animation is simply pioneering. Imagineers have used 3D computer animation to enhance the mechanical features of the animatronics by projecting 3D animation onto the animatronics themselves. The timing of the projected animation with the movement of the animatronics is essential and an intricate process that Disney are still perfecting, which is why there has been a slight delay with the launch of this new attraction. But we have a feeling that once this highly anticipated attraction is unveiled to the world, it will be far more spectacular than we ever anticipated.
