Disney have just made an exciting announcement and we just had to share it with you! Bob Chapek (the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products) has just revealed that the new Disney Skyliner will officially open at the beginning of fall 2019.
If you haven’t already heard of it (where have you been?) the Disney Skyliner is an incredible cable car service that will transport guests throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. The state-of-the-art gondola system will make getting around the resort much more convenient and will enable guests to travel in style.
It will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four Disney Resort Hotels, including Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the upcoming Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Guests staying at these hotels will be able to make use of the Disney Skyliner to travel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park, where the exciting new land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in late fall 2019.
You’ll be able to admire spectacular views of Walt Disney World from the sky as you soar above the Disney theme parks. Make sure you’ve got your camera at the ready, as there’s sure to be some fantastic photo opportunities! Disney have promised that guests using the Disney Skyliner to get to Epcot, will have never before-seen views of the famous World Showcase. We can’t wait to see it for ourselves!
You’ll also be riding alongside some of your favourite Disney pals, as each Gondola will feature some very familiar faces. Look out for the likes of Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy and the rest of the gang.
