Have you heard? For the first time ever, we’re selling tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! What’s even better, is that they’re available now, so you can start planning your magical Christmas celebrations right away! This is one of Disney’s biggest events of the year, so if you’re attending, you’re in for a real treat. The party starts on 9th November and will run on select night through to 22nd December. Want to know what you can expect at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? Here’s our pick of the things you can’t miss…
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade:
This is without a doubt one of the highlights of the night and a great opportunity to see all your favourite characters in one place. Make sure you arrive before the parade starts so that you can find the perfect viewing spot on Main Street USA. Get your camera ready as Disney characters glide past on a series of dazzling floats as snow falls all around you. You’ll see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Anna, Elsa, Olaf and many more. There’s an extra special surprise guest too, so give him a wave as he goes past on his colourful sleigh. Any ideas who it might be?
A Frozen Holiday Wish:
Fans of Frozen will love this incredible night-time show. Head to the Castle Forecourt Stage for a breath-taking performance you’ll never forget. Anna and Elsa put on a dazzling display with special appearances from their friends Kristoff and Olaf. Watch in awe as Queen Elsa transforms the iconic Cinderella Castle into a glittering ice palace for the holidays. There’s 200,000 shimmering lights in total!
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration:
This is another amazing stage show featuring lots of familiar faces. Party host Mickey has invited his friends along to join in the fun and you’re invited too! Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto will all be stopping by dressed in their finest Christmas outfits. Bring your camera along to snap some photos of your favourites all dressed up.
Peter Pan, Alice & the White Rabbit, Snow White & Dopey and Woody & Jessie will also be making an appearance. Sing along to classic Christmas carols as the castle glows with mesmerising holiday illuminations and the grand finale covers the park in a blanket of snow.
Christmas decorations:
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Christmas decorations and nobody does it better than the Magic Kingdom. Disney really go all out with their festive décor, transforming the park into a glittering winter wonderland and making it look picture perfect. We’d recommend spending some time exploring the park so that you can admire the decorations. Look out for toy soldiers, huge baubles and towering Christmas trees to name a few.
Rides:
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special after-hours event with a limited capacity. This is good news for those of you who want to buy tickets, as it means the park will be much quieter, which means less crowds and little to no queues to get onto the rides! That’s right, several attractions will remain open, so you can enjoy riding your favourites over and over again, without having to wait in line. Attractions that are expected to remain open include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain and many more.
