The spooky season might still seem some time away, but at Walt Disney World, Halloween starts in August! We think it’s never too soon to get excited for Halloween and if you’re as much of a fan of the festivities as we are, you’ll be pleased to know that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets are already on sale. Disney have just revealed more details about this year’s event that have got us even more excited. Here’s what you need to know…
Each year at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there are fan favourites like the ‘Boo-to-You’ Halloween parade and the dazzling ‘Happy HalloWishes’ firework display, but this year there’s a whole host of exciting new experiences too. Some of your favourite rides will be getting a special Halloween transformation, so make sure you try them all.
The Mad Tea Party will have new lighting and effects especially for the occasion, taking you on a vibrant adventure. Depending on the colour of your outfit, you might even find that you transform under the lights! You might have thought that this ride couldn’t get any better, but you’ll also be able to enjoy a brand new experience on Space Mountain. Prepare to hurtle through the galaxy as a new soundtrack blares through the speakers and special effects are triggered all around.
That’s not all though, you’ll come across lots of new faces throughout the night. A host of new pirates will be invading the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and they’ll be trying to recruit guests to join the search for “Gunpowder Pete”. The Storybook Circus will welcome some more familiar faces as popular Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins host a lively dance party called ‘Disney Junior Jam’.
As well as these amazing new attractions, you’ll also be able to enjoy all of your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party favourites. Look out for classic Disney characters dressed in their finest Halloween attire, the Headless Horseman parading down Main Street USA, trick or treat sweet stations and dancing ghosts. There’s also lots of spooky shows, like the ‘Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular’ featuring the baddies we all love to hate!
Make sure you end your night watching the stunning Happy HalloWishes firework display. Arrive early to get a good viewing spot and watch in awe as the glittering fireworks illuminate the night sky above the iconic Cinderella Castle. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place on select nights from 17th August - 31st October so if you’re visiting during this time, don’t miss out.
