If you’re a big fan of the spooky season, we’re sure you’re already familiar with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This famous Halloween celebration takes place at the Magic Kingdom Park every year, and it’s always a hit with guests. You might not know that Disney have already confirmed the dates for this year’s event, and you can actually buy your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets right now!
You might be thinking that Halloween is still some time away, but at Walt Disney World the celebrations start early. This year’s Halloween spook-tacular will begin on 16th August, running through to the 1st November. There will be plenty of entertainment for guests to enjoy and we’re already excited because Disney have just announced that they will be unveiling a brand NEW firework show at this year’s event!
That’s right, this year (for the first time in 14 years!) there will be a new fireworks display as part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Disney haven’t revealed the name of the show yet, but they have shared some exciting details. The fireworks spectacular will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and stunning fireworks that come together to “tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night”.
The show will take you on a thrilling trick-or-treat adventure alongside Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. The famous four find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house where there are plenty of strange goings on. Look out for dancing skeletons, ghosts and plenty of menacing Disney villains.
As well as this amazing new firework show, there will be lots more entertainment for you to enjoy. Some of the popular shows from previous years will be returning to the 2019 line-up and we can’t wait to see them again. Here’s what you can expect…
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
This incredible parade takes place twice each night, so there really is no excuse for missing it! You’ll see all of your favourite characters dressed in their spookiest Halloween attire, making their way through the park on a series of dazzling floats. Make sure you give the Disney villains a wave!
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
This live stage show takes place right in front of the iconic Cinderella Castle. The Sanderson Sisters (from Hocus Pocus) are the stars of the show, but they’ll need some help from Disney’s greatest villains if they’re going to successfully cast their powerful spell. You’ll be singing along to classic Halloween hits in no time.
During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll get the chance to see classic Disney characters all dressed up in their very best Halloween outfits but that’s not all. You’ll also be able to meet some rare characters that you wouldn’t usually find at the park, like Jack Skellington & Sally, the Seven Dwarfs and Cruella De Vil.
Of course, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party wouldn’t be complete without some serious trick or treating! When you enter the Magic Kingdom Park, make sure you pick up a bag. You can then go trick or treating for candy throughout the park and will find several stations serving up sweet treats.
