If you are lucky enough to be visiting Florida in 2014 then what a treat awaits you from the theme park capital of the world. There are so many great new Orlando attractions across all the main parks, promising to give all ages a truly memorable holiday!
Diagon Alley, Universal Studios
This summer Harry Potter enthusiasts across the globe will be descending on Universal to see the most famous Harry Potter street – Diagon Alley. Fans will be delighted to see all of their magical stores including Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Ollivander’s, Madam Malkin’s Robes and of course the much anticipated Gringotts Bank.
Gringotts Bank is also boasting one of the most talked about rides in Orlando with the ride ‘Escape from Gringotts’ and some are already calling it the best theme park ride in the world even though at this point Universal are yet to confirm exactly what it will entail.
One of the greatest features of course will be the ability for guests to travel from Diagon Alley to Hogwarts or vice versa on none other than the Hogwarts Express. We know that this experience will include dementors and that there will be an event that occurs on the return journey to King’s Cross but for now this is still top secret!
Seven Dwarfs, Walt Disney World
Hi Ho Hi Ho it’s off to Orlando we go! This new Seven Dwarfs ride opening at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in 2014 is one that can be enjoyed at every age but will be ideal for young families. This enchanted ride based on a Disney classic - Snow White is not to be missed and is sure to be a popular choice this coming summer.
Falcon’s Fury, Seaworld
Falcon’s Fury will be North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower when it launches from 1st May 2014. The ride boasts a height of over 102 metres and will pivot guests 90 degrees in mid-air into a face-down dive position and plunge guests at 60 MPH towards earth! The Falcon’s Fury ride has been based on the concept of diving towards the ground just like a bird of prey.
This extraordinary new ride is the centre piece of Busch Gardens’ newest land – Pantopia. This new land will have elaborate jewelled theming and first look illustrations of how this will look can be seen below.
Duplo Valley, Legoland
LEGOLAND in spring 2014 welcomes the brand new toddler’s paradise in the form of Duplo Valley. This land promises an indoor and water play area but the most enticing attraction in Duplo Valley will be none other than the Duplo Train and the miniature tractor ride which aims to allow toddlers to find missing farm animals and practise ploughing fields.
Have you already booked your Orlando tickets? 2014 is certainly set to be one of the most anticipated years yet for Florida’s theme parks and we can’t wait to experience and hear all about the thrill seeking madness that it is about to commence.
