The 4th July, or Independence Day, is rapidly approaching and, as huge fans of everything U S of A, we’re already excited to see the spectacular events being planned by the parks in Orlando. Independence Day has always been a hugely fun and busy time for the parks, with lots of people planning their holiday specifically to coincide with these special events, so it’s a great idea to plan ahead to make sure you don’t miss anything!
All these great events are included in your regular park admission:
Walt Disney World Resort is planning 3 separate spectacular firework displays for the night of the 4th. If you’re at The Magic Kingdom on the 4th, make sure to stick around until 9pm, when the "Disney's Celebrate America! - A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" fireworks display kicks off. If you’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Epcot, the fireworks begin slightly later, at 10pm. Remember if you purchase the Disney 7 Day , 14 Day or 21 Day Ultimate Ticket or an Unlimited Combination/Freedom Ticket, you can leave the park and re-enter later to enjoy the fireworks!
LEGOLAND Florida are extending the fun, with 3 fun filled days of fireworks and celebrations. Guests will be provided with special 3D glasses (from 8pm at the Ski Stadium) to enjoy the Red, Brick and Boom show, which kicks off at 9pm. The park have extended their opening hours especially, so it’s one of the best times of year to get great value from your ticket. Although this event is included in regular admission, a VIP upgrade is available which enables you to watch the show from private VIP seating on the Lakeside Lawn plus show snacks and a LEGO mini figure for every child! Again, with the LEGOLAND Unlimited Ticket, you can leave the park for dinner (or a quick nap!) and return later for the show.
The 4th of July will be celebrated with a splash at SeaWorld Orlando, where guests can enjoy the new night-time killer whale show Shamu’s Celebration: Light up the Night. The show is billed as starting “after dusk”, and once again, fireworks are promised! A big band performance with 25 singers wind down the evening with a patriotic-inspired finale.

Finally Universal Orlando Resort will be running a special version of the Universal 360: A Cinesphere Spectacular which features lasers and, you guessed it…pyrotechnics! The show promises to bring movies to life like never before, so the show is definitely worth sticking around for. Alternatively, you can leave for dinner and come back later with any of our multi-day, combination or freedom tickets!
If you’re not planning to be at one of the parks on the day itself, there’s no reason why you have to miss out on those free fireworks! Head down to Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando for a free firework show beginning at 9:10pm. Be wowed by the stunning pyrotechnics as they shimmer over the lake in this gorgeous public park.
