Visiting Orlando in April? We’ve put together a list of the top theme park events…

April is one of the busier months in Orlando, with the Easter holidays bringing in lots of guests to the theme parks. There’s so much to do though and it’s a great chance to see the parks decorated for the season, so as long as you follow our top tips for avoiding the queues, you’ll be fine! Here are the top things you can’t miss this month…

Easter:

The Orlando theme parks are always magical, but during the holidays, they are even more special. If you’re visiting during the Easter period, you’ll be able to see the parks decorated for the occasion, and even sample some tasty Easter-themed treats. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to see some of your favourite Disney characters dressed in their finest Easter attire as well as Mr and Mrs Bunny, so make sure you take lots of photos. We’d recommend paying a visit to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, if you want to see the most incredible Easter egg display. The hotel is renowned for its epic chocolate creations, unlike anything you’ve seen before! There’s also a great Easter egg hunt at Epcot, that’s not to be missed!

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon

Plans for an exciting new ride starring Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, were first announced back in October 2015, and after a long wait, it’s almost time for the ride to be unveiled. The action-packed attraction challenges you to a race against the hilarious host, through the streets (and sky!) of New York City. You’ll soar above skyscrapers and hurtle through the underground subways, passing iconic landmarks along the way. There’ll be plenty of surprises too, with special sound and light effects, and even pizza spray that will leave the smell of traditional NYC pizza wafting through the air.
