Head to Brick Lane for a Wreck it Ralph fix!
To promote the UK launch of Walt Disney Animations Studios film Wreck It Ralph, the video game inspired movie has set up home in East London’s Brick Lane!
It’s not long now till Walt Disney Animation Studios Wreck it Ralph hits UK cinemas, so to get us all ready for this highly anticipated movie, Disney bought the Wreck it Ralph fun to the quirky East London district’s Brick Lane over the weekend.
The Wreck it Ralph takeover of Brick Lane has given the famous London street a more video game appropriate name, 8 Bit Lane – taken from the 8 bit video consoles, like Nintendo and Sega, that have inspired the Wreck it Ralph movie. The piece de resistance however, is the giant Wreck it Ralph canvas that has been placed on the face of one of the buildings that becomes the platform for a Donkey Kong style game that can be played by passersby on a smart phone simply by downloading an app. If you don’t happen to be heading to Brick Lane anytime soon you can explore 8 Bit Lane virtually right here.
Wreck it Ralph has already been released in America, so the movie hype may have died down in the parks, but if you’re heading over to Disney World and fancy yourself a Wreck it Ralph fix, you can play the Wreck it Ralph video game at Downtown Disney’s Disney Quest.
