According to Emmanuel Lenormand, show director at Disneyland Paris, the new parade to celebrate the 25th anniversary, ‘Disney Stars on Parade’ will feature some ‘phenomenal’ new floats which will be uniquely paired to individual music scores as they pass by. Some of the new floats include a steam-punk inspired lead float, which will be ridden by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale.
Each of the characters on the float will be beautifully costumed in Discoveryland theming (Chip ‘n’ Dale will even have a giant telescope to survey the crowd!) as they invite the crowd along on their journey through the stories of Disney.
Other floats that have been confirmed or rumoured for the parade are a fire-breathing Steampunk dragon, the Jungle Safari float, which features characters from The Lion King and The Jungle Book, and the Pirate Moon float featuring Peter Pan.
The floats will pass by with an overriding soundtrack to the whole parade, but with music for the individual floats adding an extra magical touch. This type of technology is only possible now, as the parade speaker system has recently been revamped to make sure each individual float has its own unique soundtrack, an update which is sure to add a bit of extra fun to the show.
