Paris J'adore! ATD's Ultimate Parisian Pursuit!
J'adore Paris!
Paris spoils UK travellers with its high culture, stunning architecture, enthralling history and an abundance of iconic lifetime experiences, only a hop skip and a jump away and an effortless journey on the Eurostar. It's the ultimate destination for a last minute break, still boasting all the culture and experiences you'd expect travelling half way round the world! Check out ATD's ultimate Parisian pursuit!

Paris is one of those desitinations that finds itself on many a travellers bucket lists. Whether it be that travellers want to experience the very chic and very romantic Parisian way of life, witness Paris' wonderful sites, namely the Eiffel Tower or watch the Moulin Rouge show in ts very hometown on the Boulevard de Clichy, the city of romance earns its right to be on the world's mustsee lists.

Although Paris is a destination that should be considered in its own right, admittedly there are times when long haul holidays just seem a little too taxing for whatever reason, maybe time or finances aren't permitting. With such an iconic city right on our doorstep and so easily accessible, we needn't compromise on our holiday nor the iconic experiences we would pursue in more exotic locations.

We may seem a little biased, and it has nothing to do with the fact that Disneyland Paris finds its home in the region, but truth be told, we adore Paris, for priceless endeavours like people watching from a Cafe table or a street bench, to indulging in starlit dinners at the Eiffel Tower or boat cruises along the River Seine. Regardless of whether you're planning to visit the French Capital for a weekend or a week, you needn't leave without pursuing the ultimate iconic Parisian experiences and you'll never leave having run out of things to do.

So, here's a guide to Attraction Tickets Direct ultimate iconic experiences in Paris!

The Eiffel Tower

Of course there is no reason why the Eiffel tower wouldn't be at the top of our list. The tower is completely synonymous with the city and absolute must for first timers. For those that travel to the region regularly, of course there is no reason to continue to witness the Eiffel Tower, however for many, it is the Eiffel Tower that truly confirms their arrival in the city.

Notre Dame

The Notre Dame Cathedral comes in second on Attraction Tickets Direct's list. The Disney fans amongst you yet to make your first visit to the city may be familiar with this Roman Catholic Cathedral from the Walt Disney Picture The Hunch Back of Notre Dame. The Notre Dame Cathedral lures travellers the world over not just for religious purposes, or pilgrimages. Artists come to sketch and paint this beautiful edifice, architects come to study the intricate and ornate gothic architecture and many, like us, just admire it. The cathederal is stunning both inside and out, you needn't be an architect to be taken aback by the allurance of this building and the enormity of the fascination it is subjected to.

Paris Illuminations Dinner Cruise

We have become aware of how many times we have used the adjective beautiful within this post, however that is because the city truly is beautiful and there is no better way to see it than when it is lit up in all its glory at night. Many of Paris' most iconic landmarks can be seen from or sit along the River Seine, which makes a nightime dinner cruise along the Seine the perfect way to witness the city, familiarise  yourself with your surroundings and cross those iconic sites off your bucketlist. From the Seine you'll be able to see Les Invalides, the Notre Dame, the Louvre,  the Hotel de Ville, the Grande Palais and much more.

The Louvre - Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa

The Louvre is not only one of the world's largest museums and historical monuments, but home to Leonardo Davinci's Mona Lisa, arguably the most famous painting in the world. Of course this painting needs no introduction whatsoever, it has been discussed in literature, history, featured in songs, had movies named after it and been imitated and reworked.  This world treasure sits on the first floor of the Louvre in room six, behind a climate controlled enclosure made of bullettproof glass. Approximately six million people a year view Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and although it might be slightly difficult to navigate your way around this colossal museum, you'll know you're in the vicinity of the Mona Lisa by the massive crowd forming around it.

Disneyland Paris

Last but by no means least on our list is Disneyland Paris - of course! It might not be on the top of many Paris To Do lists, but we're theme park enthusiasts and if there's a theme park in close enough proximity then we're going to advise you to go.  If you hadn't envisioned your travels to Paris to be a theme park holiday, it needn't be, but i f you're travelling with children, fancy a little bit of  Disney magic or are just an out and out Disney fan then you should at least spend a day at the Parisan happiest place on earth.

Of course this all in addition to spending long lunches in Cafe's enjoying good food and wine, admiring the ever so chic Parisian fashions of the local passersby (this literally is an attraction in itself), walking the Chemps elysees and shopping on the illustrious strip or, should you not want to spend a small fortune, shopping in the  amazing thrift stores Paris is notorious for amongst fashion lovers.

Whether you're seeking a weekend of cultural pursuits, a romantic getaway for two or a week of magic at Disneyland Paris, Attraction Tickets Direct offers a whole range of Paris attraction tickets and experiences for you to purchase before you travel.

Bon Voyage!
