Aquatica water park number three is due to come splashing in at San Diego California!
SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment has acquired the Knotts Soak City water park in San Diego California to construct the third Aquatica water park to belong to the SeaWorld group, due to open summer 2013!
Admittedly, talking about summer, surfing waves and slipping through water shoots in the Californian sun before the Christmas party season has even begun may feel a little disorienting right now. However, if you happen to be heading to California with your 2013 attraction tickets next summer then it’s likely that you are already California dreaming, and indeed, you might want to think about adding Aquatica to your California theme park mix!
SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment has confirmed that the SeaWorld water park is set to launch in June 2013 in San Diego, just in time for the Californian heat, when you’ll want nothing more for your theme park holiday than to catch the waves and have some splashing fun at a water park.
Like Aquatica San Antonio and Orlando, this park will combine the thrills and chills of a typical water park with the unique and breathtaking animal encounters the SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment group is famous for. The most pioneering and notable animal encounter Aquatica boasts, an attraction many of you might be familiar with, is Dolphin Plunge in Orlando; a tube ride that shoots you through waters where dolphins reside.
“When the gates of Aquatica San Diego open for the first time next June, guests will see what visitors to Orlando and San Antonio already know: No theme park company can deliver a waterpark experience quite like SeaWorld,” said John Reilly, president of the company’s San Diego attractions.
