Video game inspired Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando.
Universal has unveiled that this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Hollywood will take inspiration from 90s survival horror Playstation video game Silent Hill.
For those of you that weren’t Playstation gamers in the late nineties, you mustn’t be fooled into thinking that Universal’s Halloween Horror nights being inspired by a video game means it’s going to be any less scary than previous years, you’re very wrong. Silent Hill was a survival psychological horror type video game that was a huge commercial success due to its victory in scaring its gamers. So successful was the video game that it inspired a feature film adaptation of the same name, which came to cinemas in 2006.
