The Stratolaunch Space Plane

The Stratolaunch Space Plane
There was exciting news for the future of Kennedy Space Centre this week, as a dream team of entrepreneurs announced plans to build a space plane.

The new organisation is named Stratolaunch Systems and is set to include luminaries such as Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, and Mike Griffin, former NASA chief. The aircraft produced would be twice the size of a Boeing 747 and would carry a missile shaped capsule up into the high atmosphere. Once it reaches a high orbit the capsule would then blast itself off into space.

If you can’t wait until then to experience a taste of the space program then you should take a look at some of the many Orlando tickets on offer, to take a walk round the Kennedy Space Centre and get a real ‘feel’ for the past and future of space flight.
