Tenerife is renowned for its cuisine as the island is home to a range of traditional tasty treasures as well as boasting restaurants serving classic international foods.
So if you are heading to the island this year, read on to check out the list we have compiled of the best restaurants in Tenerife.
Tasca la mesa noche
Just a 30-minute drive from the Loro Park attraction in Tenerife is Tasca la mesa noche, a restaurant that has quickly gained a really good reputation.
Despite only being open for just over 10 months, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife-based restaurant serves dishes that are prepared with fresh products from local suppliers.
Tasca la mesa noche offers a menu full of traditional foods synonymous with the Canary Islands such as foie toasts, caramelized onions, cheese salad, salmon with guacamole, canary cod with onions, octopus tetillum, Iberian meats like cheeks, Iberian secret, Island's cheese tables and peninsula desserts. The wine list is also pretty impressive too!
Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife
If you are heading to Siam Park in the south of Tenerife and are famished after jumping down all those amazing water slides then the Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife is the place to head.
The Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife is based in the centre of the Golden Mile in Playa de las Americas and is just a 12-minute drive from Siam Park.
Adults and kids alike will not only be amazed by the delicious food and drink that is available, but can listen to live music and look at a range of music memorabilia.
The Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers and Legendary Burger are just a couple dishes that are extremely popular with diners.
The restaurant is actually the largest in Europe as it caters for just over 600 people, but its TripAdvisor Excellence Certificate and delicious foods are the main reasons you should visit the Hard Rock Café.
Deli on the Hill
If you are staying in Los Gigantes then a must-visit restaurant is Deli on the Hill as it is located in Puerto Santiago, which is close to the popular holiday resort.
Deli on the Hill is owned by Hannah and Vicki Proverbs and this bar cafeteria makes all of its food fresh.
Cakes include homemade salted caramel triple chocolate brownie, whilst savouries range from quiches and pies to salads and sandwiches.
The café also offers its customers stunning views of the Tenerife coastline and on a nice day you can see the island of La Gomera.
Los Roques opened in 2005 and the small restaurant has built up a big reputation over the last 10 years.
The restaurant is open from Tuesday-Saturday for dinner and Tuesday-Sunday for lunch. It is a hotspot for foodies so try to book up a table in advance to save disappointment.
If you have bought the Loro Parque and Siam Park Twin Ticket and are tired following two really active days, this restaurant is perfect for you to kick back and relax.
The restaurant is located in the village of Los Abrigos and is just a 15-minute drive away from Siam Park, but the fact that this little restaurant has a prime position on the harbour front means you can rest those weary legs whilst taking in unrivalled views of the coast and sunset.
The menu at Los Roques changes throughout the year, but one thing that stays the same is the quality of the food. This is probably the reason why it is so popular with both holidaymakers and locals.
Los Roques make everything in-house including its breads, ice-creams, desserts, stocks, soups and sauces.
Another restaurant that is based in the south of the island is El Cine and this popular restaurant has a menu that showcases the very best of Canarian food.
The restaurant is famed for its fish dishes, which is one of the main reasons why it is regarded as one of the best restaurants on the island.
Tasca Tierras del Sur
Tasca Tierras del Sur offers excellent food and being located around 27 minutes away from Siam Park is a great option for holidaymakers who are looking for a bite to eat after their day of epic water slides!
Traditional Spanish cold and hot tapas dishes dominate their menu, but its various other meals are well worth a try as well.
