Universal CityWalk Has Got a Brand New ‘Fireside’ Restaurant

Universal CityWalk Has Got a Brand New ‘Fireside’ Restaurant
You’ll want to eat out here every night!
Fireside dining has never looked so appealing, thanks to Universal CityWalk’s new mouthwatering eatery.

Bigfire is now officially open, the latest dining concept from Universal Orlando Resort. Replacing the former Emeril’s Orlando, Bigfire takes its inspiration from the joy of cooking over open flames. Cast your mind back to garden BBQs, camping trips, and memorable summer holidays. This is the kind of ambience and food you can expect from Bigfire.

The interior of the restaurant resembles a lakeside summer house, a lovely, cozy yet open place where you can enjoy some time with friends and family. Natural designs such as wood, cast iron and camp lanterns help complete the look, bringing the feel of the great American outdoors inside.

Chefs will be preparing your food on a custom wood fire grill, where signature dishes will do much more than tantalise diners’ taste buds. The food is carefully matched with either a cherry, pecan or oak wood, which have been chosen based on the flavours they exude. This means that the entire menu - mains, sides, desserts, and even the cocktails - are all infused with a wonderfully smoky essence.

Of course, one of the big images associated with American camping is toasting S’mores by an open fire - those lovely, gooey delights of chocolatey goodness. And Bigfire hasn’t forgotten that either. Diners will be able to make their very own S’mores right at their tables. Result!

The new restaurant is located between VIVO Italian Kitchen and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. Diners can enjoy incredible views of Universal CityWalk as they lounge by the outside fire-pit.

Here is a sneak peek of some of the tasty dishes you can enjoy at Bigfire, most of which involve open fire cooking:

  • Wild Salmon - fire-grilled vegetables, crispy smashed potatoes

  • Colorado Lamb Chops - fire-grilled vegetables, crispy smashed potatoes, minted bordelaise

  • Brook Trout - fire-grilled vegetables, crispy smashed potatoes, tarragon tartar sauce

  • Fried Green Tomato Cheeseburger - half-pound black angus beef, pimento cheese

  • Signature Bison Burger - red wine aioli, caramelized onions, beer cheese sauce

  • Skillet-baked Chocolate Cake - flourless chocolate cake, cherries, bourbon ice cream

  • Tableside S’mores - marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate, peanut butter cups (for two)

  • Baked Alaska - huckleberry ice cream, meringue, torched tableside

Sounds pretty amazing, right?

Look forward to immersing yourself in an atmosphere reminiscent of a warm summer evening right by the water. We’ll meet you there.
