 Universal Studios in Russia?
The rumours are true...Universal Parks and Resorts are set to open up a theme park in Russia!
Universal Parks and Resorts plans to add yet another theme park to its portfolio. The latest addition to be located in Eastern Europe’s Russia!

When we think of purchasing our Universal tickets they’re usually to accompany a holiday to Orlando or California. Never in a million years did we expect that a Universal park would pop up as close to us as Russia!

However, the rumours have been confirmed that Universal is planning to build an indoor theme park, titled Galactica Park, in Russia’s capital, Moscow. Construction is expected to begin as early as 2014 and open up to the public just four years later.

"Russia is an important and attractive market and we see significant potential for the kind of themed entertainment experience we offer," wrote the president of global business development for Universal Parks & Resorts Michael Silver. "Entertainment is a global language and we will be delivering the same thrills, excitement and unique family experiences that Universal's worldwide theme parks are known for creating."

Plans reveal that Russian Universal theme park project will cost $2.8 billion, bringing an indoor theme park, a water park, CityWalk, two hotels, a 20,000 seat arena and a convention centre! We can’t think of a better reason to head to one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, than to experience some of the world’s greatest theme park entertainment.
