Yesterday we informed you of Universal’s plans to construct a brand new resort at Universal Orlando, named Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The new resort is being designed to reach out to those that don’t necessarily require the high end level of luxury and expense that comes with staying in the likes of the Hard Rock Hotel or Portofino Bay, but still offers guest with their Universal tickets the complete onsite resort experience.

Universal reveals details about the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort, due to open at Universal Orlando Parks and Resorts in 2014!
Located next to Universal’s Islands of Adventure Cabana Bay Beach will cover 37 acres of land and host 1,800 rooms, half of which are family suites sleeping a maximum of six and the other half being standard guest rooms. The hotel will take on a 1950s theme, evoking an Americana feel, particularly focused on the American road trip we are all so accustomed to seeing in American cinema ...just think Thelma and Louise! Universal have described the hotel as ‘hip’ and ‘vintage.’
“Our new hotel will give guests an affordable, incredibly themed on-site hotel experience unlike anything else at our resort,” says Universal Parks & Resorts chairman and chief executive officer Tom Williams, “Our new family suites and family-value pricing will give our guests on-site options they’ve never had before.”
Cabana Bay Beach Resort is due to open in 2014, giving those of you planning your theme park holiday ahead the option to combine an affordable and fun resort experience with your Universal tickets!
