It was announced in 2013 that Downtown Disney would be treated to a major magical overhaul, which included the announcement of a brand new name for the entertainment complex: Disney Springs.
On Tuesday 29th, the name change became official on an occasion marked with speeches and the help of Disney cast members to reveal the brand new Downtown Disney signage. It was celebrated next to the newly-opened Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, one of the first completed projects of many planned developments which will increase the number of dining, shopping and entertainment options.

New retail chains coming to the complex include Uniqlo, Pandora, Tommy Bahama and Zara, while a brand new entertainment centre, NBA Experience, will cater to all you sports fans out there! This will take the place of DisneyQuest, which closes next year.
The name change from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the entertainment complex, and one which we’re eager to see develop.
