Dreamflight Trip Soars Off to Orlando with 192 Very Important Children On Board
These VIC's are off for a well-deserved sprinkle of Florida magic!
Last Sunday was a very important morning at Heathrow airport, as 192 amazing children and countless volunteers descended on the airport for their trip of a lifetime to Orlando.

The Dreamflight Charity has been helping children with serious illnesses or disabilities experience the holiday of a lifetime without their parents since 1987. Each year, 192 children are nominated by their doctors to take part in this life-changing trip which gives them the chance to experience an independence and escape from the real world that they so desperately deserve.

As supporters of the charity, we had the privilege of waving the children off from the special hangar and onto their privately chartered British Airways flight on Sunday morning. All the children were so excited for the trip that they had been looking forward to all year that there was barely a hint of nerves!

The presence of loads of Paralympian heroes such as Natasha Baker, the para-equestrian who won two gold medals in the 2012 British Olympics, and celebrities such as Myleene Class caused a big stir with the kids, who were queuing up to get their autographs and a picture taken. There were a few other ‘celebs’ at the event, including Darth Vader himself who showed a little of his light side as he waved the children off enthusiastically on their flight!

This week, the children will have been visiting all the main Florida theme parks, including Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and the SeaWorld Parks, including a trip to Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins – something which all the children were really excited for. This year, the volunteers were also really excited to take the children to the Wild Florida park for a traditional Floridian airboat ride and admission to the wildlife park where the children have the opportunity to meet sloths, alligators and many more.

Every time you book your Florida theme park tickets with us, you help us to support this incredible charity, so we wanted to say a huge thank you to you for making this life-changing experience happen for the children and parents involved.
