Last year, Universal announced plans to expand their hotel collection, with the Aventura Hotel. Located just a short walk from the theme parks, the hotel will have plenty of exciting features and exclusive guest benefits, making this the perfect retreat for theme park lovers. It’s now been confirmed that the hotel will officially open its doors to the public on 1st August 2018, but if you’re already planning your next Orlando holiday, you can make bookings now!
The impressive 16-storey hotel is sure to stand out, thanks to its modern all-glass design. Universal have described the Aventura as “affordable-chic” suggesting it will offer great value accommodation, with a luxurious feel. There will be a total of 600 rooms (including suites), where guests can enjoy spectacular views of the nearby theme parks through floor to ceiling windows.
Looking for a way to relax after a long day at the theme parks? The rooftop bar is the perfect place! You’ll be able to try a selection of tasty dishes and quench your thirst with a refreshing cocktail (or two!). That’s not all though, you’ll have the perfect view of Volcano Bay’s 200-foot-tall Krakatau volcano, and you’ll even be able to watch it erupt with bubbling lava when night falls!
For something to eat, you can choose from five different cuisine options at the hotel’s food hall. There’s also a Starbucks in the lobby, for a quick pick-me-up coffee or a bite on the go. The lobby bar is a great place to unwind with a drink, as you watch the beaming Floridian sunshine stream through the 18-foot-tall windows.
When you need a break from the busyness of the theme parks, head to the tranquil pool area. There’s a splash pad area for the kids, and a poolside hot tub for the grown-ups. There’s even a pool bar, so you can grab a drink and laze the day away in the sunshine! One of our top tips is to spend the busiest and hottest parts of the day by the pool, to avoid the long theme park queues, and visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon instead.
The Aventura Hotel will be just a matter of steps away from Universal’s world-famous theme parks. You can either choose to walk, or make the most of the complimentary shuttle service that runs direct from the hotel to each park. As well as complimentary transportation, guests will receive early park admission, meaning you can be one of the first to get on Universal’s most thrilling rollercoasters.
