Last year, characters from cult 2007 horror film Trick ‘r Treat roamed the scare zones at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. This year, they’re back, and the bad news is – they’ve taken over their very own horror maze!
If you’re unfamiliar with the film, the story takes place in a fictional town in Ohio on (what other night than this one?) Halloween night. There are four different stories within the film taking place in the same town, all threaded together by the creepy character of Sam – a young child wearing a dirty orange pumpkin baby grow and a burlap sack over his head.
The appearance of Sam signals that someone has broken the sacred traditions of Halloween – the consequences for which are deadly and brutal. But don’t worry – the characters from the film are on hand in their maze to teach you, no matter the cost, the rules of the biggest night of the year…just make sure you don’t step out of line or you’ll be on the receiving end of Sam’s lollipop.
This is the third house revealed by Universal Orlando Resort for Halloween Horror Nights 2018, following the announcement of a Stranger Things maze and a Universal original horror maze - Dead Exposure: Patient Zero. With 6 more houses still to be announced, we can’t wait to see what else Universal has in store for us!
