• Is Versailles accessible for people with disabilities?

  The Palace of Versailles has taken steps to make the site more accessible to people with disabilities, but it may not be fully accessible to everyone due to its historic nature and architectural limitations. Some areas of the palace and its gardens can be challenging for people with mobility issues. 

  
  Palace Accessibility: There are ramps and elevators in some areas, and wheelchair users can access some of the rooms, but not all. There is a lack of elevators in some parts of the palace, which may limit access to certain areas.

  
  Gardens and Grounds: The vast gardens and grounds of Versailles may be difficult for people with mobility issues. While some areas are accessible, the uneven terrain and long distances may pose challenges for some visitors.

• Are pushchairs allowed in Versailles?

  Pushchairs are 'tolerated' inside the Château, however, Kangaroo bags or baby carriers without metal frames are preferred. 

  Pushchairs are accepted in the park and gardens.

   

• Are storage lockers available at Versailles?

  Large bags and suitcases are not allowed in the Chateau.  

  Automatic lockers (at a small fee) are available for luggage and personal effects smaller than cabin size - 46x43x26cm
