We’ve put together this article to give you all the information you need to pick the perfect base for your Disneyland® Paris holiday. From deciding whether to stay on-site or off-site to selecting the facilities you need for your family, here’s our expert advice.

Should I stay on-site or off-site?

Location, location, location – there’s a reason they say it three times! It’s one of the most important aspects of choosing your hotel. At AttractionTickets.com, you’ll notice that Disneyland® Paris accommodation is split into two categories:

  1. Disneyland® Paris Hotels (also called Disney® Hotels or on-site hotels): those owned and/or managed by Disney
  2. Disneyland® Paris Area Hotels (also called off-site hotels): nearby hotels

The first decision you need to make when it comes to accommodation at Disneyland® Paris is whether you want to stay on-site at one of the Disney® Hotels or whether you’d like to stay off-site at one of the nearby hotels.

You can’t really go wrong whether you choose on-site accommodation or an off-site hotel. Most Disney® Hotels are within a short walk of the theme parks, giving you that little bit more time to enjoy the attractions, and Disneyland® Paris Area Hotels are also close to the parks and offer less expensive accommodation options. Some of the hotels also provide a free shuttle service between the accommodation and the theme parks, and some are well connected by RER train.

There are over 20 accommodation options available, so you’re spoilt for choice. You can’t really make a bad decision, as all of the accommodation is of a high standard, so it’s just about choosing which one is right for you and your family.

How much does it cost to stay at Disneyland® Paris?

The cost of staying at Disneyland® Paris differs depending on several factors, including which hotel you choose and when you travel. Weekends, school holidays, and Christmas tend to be more expensive, so if you want to save, try to travel outside of these times if you can.

You can choose from luxurious hotels like the Disneyland® Hotel, where you can live like Disney Royalty in the signature suites inspired by Disney fairy tales and enjoy views over Disneyland® Park.

If you’re travelling on more of a budget, then you can book a more basic hotel such as the Ibis budget Marne la Vallee Val d’Europe.

The cost will also depend on the room type you choose. Most hotels at Disneyland® Paris offer standard rooms (called Superior Rooms in some hotels), which are cheaper, and then suites or specially-themed rooms which tend to be more expensive.

Disneyland® Paris Area Hotels tend to be cheaper than the Disney® Hotels.

Top tip: Have a budget in mind before you book your hotel for Disneyland® Paris, and try to stick to this. Decide this based on what you’re willing to spend out of your overall holiday budget. This will help you to decide what sort of accommodation you can comfortably afford.

Facilities to consider at your Disneyland® Paris accommodation

As well as location, you’ll need to consider what facilities you’ll need during your stay in Paris. From swimming pools to self-catering kitchens, each hotel offers something slightly different.

If you’re planning to spend some of your time in the hotel during your trip, then look out for additional facilities. If you’re just going to sleep there and nothing else, then one of the more basic accommodation options will be suitable for you.

It’s a good idea to try to plan a bit of downtime during your trip so you can chill out. However, there is a lot to see in the Disney® Parks so you might just not have time!
