Get to know the history of the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum. Discover how the collection, once private, was born and grew.
Follow your guide through the different rooms of the museum and discover the history of its creation. Although the origin of the collection contained in the museum is private, it now belongs to the Spanish State and can be freely visited. You will be able to admire different pictorial works of great renowned artists as you tour the museum with your guide, who will reveal all the historical and cultural details of the paintings.
Rubens, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Cézanne... those are only a small part of the great painters whose works you will be able to see during your tour. Comprising works from the 13th to the 20th century, no Western art movement of the period is excluded from the collection.

- Cancellation Policy: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the supplier 72 hours prior to the tour date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour date or are a no show.
- Please bear in mind this is a walking tour.
- Important information: photography and filming are not permitted inside the exhibitions.
- Important information: please note some paintings in our program might not be available on the day of your visit due to circumstances out of our control despite belonging to the permanent collection of the museum. It might have been assigned to another exhibition. In these cases, the paintings would be replaced by another of similar artistic value.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers per guide.
