Red Route - First bus at 8.15am. The last full tour is 6.00pm from stop 1. The buses run every 10-20 minutes and the full tour duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.

On the Red Route, relax while taking in the finest of central London. Green Route - First bus at 8.30am. The last full tour is 6.00pm from stop 39. The buses run every 45-60 minutes and the full tour duration is 1 hour.

The Green Route connects the stunning, newly developed neighbourhoods of St. Pancras and King's Cross with the bustle of Covent Garden, passing through Bloomsbury on the way. St. Pancras and King's Cross, which have undergone significant alteration over the past ten years, today provide a veritable feast of culinary and cultural delights as well as a walking route down the canal to the renowned Camden Market. The route connects to our lengthier, red route tour, which you may connect to from our Covent Garden and Temple stops, as well as the major railway stations in these districts and the hotels in Bloomsbury.

River Cruise (included in all ticket options):

Join our partner City Cruises by Hornblower on a Thames River trip to experience life on the river. providing a wonderful chance to experience London from a unique vantage point as you travel along the Thames. The most imposing of London's bridges, Tower Bridge, will be visible when you pass across bridges. Take advantage of the recorded narration that highlights the top tourist attractions, such as Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, Shakespeare's Globe, and Tate Modern.

Present your ticket and board the cruise at Tower Pier (near stop 16) or Westminster Pier (near stop 18). Your ticket includes a one-way cruise between Westminster Pier and the Tower of London (in either direction). River cruises depart approximately every 40 minutes.

Walking Tours (included in the Essential and Explore ticket options). Each walking tour lasts around 1.5 hours:

  • Changing of the Guard Walking Tour – 10.00am – Stop 7 (Trafalgar Square) - Experience one of London’s most famous traditions that is a must-see for first time visitors to London. Follow the Guards as they march from St. James' Palace to Buckingham Palace. Please be aware that the 10am walk will change to a Royal Walk on days when there isn't a changing of the guard.
  • City of London Past to Present Walking Tour – 1.00pm – Stop 14 (St Paul’s Cathedral) - Discover the Old City of London and take a stroll through more than 2000 years of history, including the sites where the Great Fire of London, the Blitz, and the Plague occurred. View the evolution of London's skyline while standing beneath structures that are jokingly referred to as the Gherkin, the Cheese grater, and the Walkie Talkie.
  • Jack the Ripper – 4.00pm – Stop 16 (Tower of London) - Join us as we explore the stories of Jack the Ripper, one of London's most infamous serial murderers, on foot. Discover the terrifying real-life account of one of London's most infamous unsolved crimes as you explore the East End of the city.

Panoramic Evening Tour (included in the Explore ticket option):

The panoramic nighttime tour displays the city's well-known monuments and sites lit up at night. With audio commentary in 5 different languages, see London at nightfall while learning about the city's illustrious past and present. The nighttime tour is a wonderful way to round off a day in London, taking in landmarks like Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and the Tower of London.

The Panoramic Evening Tour departs daily at 6.00pm from The London Eye (stop 11). The tour duration is around 2 hours.

  • You will be sent a gate-ready Big Bus Ticket. Simply print it in advance or present it on your smartphone for boarding.
  • Redeem printed or E-vouchers from the bus driver or a member of staff at any of the stops. Recommended stops are Green Park Station (Stop 1), London Eye (Stop 13), Victoria (Stop 25), and Tower of London (stop 18).
  • A child ticket is available for children aged between 4 and 15 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 4 years and under may travel free of charge. All Children must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers must be folded and stowed on the lower deck.
  • Luggage is not permitted onboard the bus at this time.
  • All buses run on live GPS tracking. For accurate times on the day of travel, please ensure you download the Big Bus Tours App.
  • Big Bus runs every day of the year, except for New Year’s Eve. Occasionally severe weather and special event days could affect service.
  • The tour company reserves the right to deviate from the route of a service where reasonably prudent to do so in the light of circumstances beyond the company’s control.
  • Please note routes may cancelled and operating times may change without notice. Please check the times locally. 
  • Panoramic Evening Tour - Please note that the panoramic evening tour is not a hop-on, hop-off tour. A complimentary Evening Tour is included with all Explore tickets. The Evening Tour ticket must be redeemed within the period of validity of the Explore ticket – it cannot be redeemed after your ticket has expired.
  • *CANCELLATION POLICY: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the operator up to 72 hours before your chosen activity date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours.
