Go on up as the sun goes down for the Up at The O2 Sunset Climb, a 90-minute guided expedition that transforms London’s most iconic roof into your own private golden hour vantage point. Experience pure romance and a thrilling physical challenge as you scale the canopy to reach the summit just as the capital begins its evening glow.

Suspended 52 meters above the legendary arena, the walkway leads you to a breathtaking 360-degree observation platform where the city unfolds in every direction. Terms and conditions for Up at The O2 Sunset Climb

  • Minimum age: 8 years old. For climbers aged 8 to 17, the ratio is 1:5 adults to minors
  • Minimum height: 1.2m
  • Maximum weight: not weigh more than 21 stone/130kg/286lbs
  • Maximum measurements: maximum waist measurement 125cm, maximum upper thigh measurement 75cm
  • Pregnant customers or those who have had an epileptic seizure in the last 12 months are not permitted to climb Up at The O2
  • Climbers must not be under the influence of alcohol or legal or illegal substances: You will not be permitted to participate and will not be refunded
  • You must arrive 15 minutes before your climb time as latecomers cannot be admitted
  • You will be required to complete in advance an online Declaration and Waiver on your behalf and on behalf of any under 18s you are supervising.
  • Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for the climb and the weather. You’ll be fitted with a harness and offered a jacket if required.
  • Climbs will take place in all weather conditions other than gales, lightning, heavy snow or ice or extreme weather conditions which we reasonably believe will make it unsafe to climb. If we have to cancel a climb due to weather conditions, we will rebook or refund your climb
  • Smartphone and/or Small compact cameras can be taken up in your pocket for pictures on the roof. All other items will be stored away and returned to you at the end of the climb. GoPros and larger cameras are NOT allowed.
  • Cancellation Policy: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the operator up to 72 hours before your chosen activity date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours.

  • What should I wear on an Up at the O2 Climb?

    • Visitors are required to wear their own suitable clothing appropriate for the weather.
    • Climbing shoes are provided, but you may be able to wear your own shoes if suitable. See below for more guidelines. If borrowing shoes, then socks must be worn and can be purchased at reception if not wearing any on arrival.

    - Velcro or laced fastening.
    - Deep tread – walking/hiking shoes/boots are ideal (minimum 4mm Lug Depth). The shoe tread should be evenly distributed across the sole.
    - The soles/tread must be clean and free of mud and obstructions to not damage the walkway.
    - Fashion trainers with shallow treads are not suitable.

    • The final decision as to suitability will be made by the team on the day. Climbing shoes will be provided if your shoes are not appropriate.
    • We recommend jeans/ trousers/ shorts as opposed to skirts or dresses, as a full harness will be worn by all climbers.
    • Climb jackets and gilets are available to use as an extra layer on the climb. Ask your guide for this when collecting your equipment.
    • Full body suits* are available to be hired on arrival at reception (*fee applies)
    • We recommend you wear gloves and hats during the Winter and cold days.
    • You are able to take your mobile phone or compact camera up to the roof with you but it must be stored away in a button or zip pocket on your clothing or jacket. All other items will be stored away and returned to you at the end of the climb. GoPros and larger cameras are not allowed.
    • Long hair must be tied back
