Overview

Disney’s Pop Century Resort celebrates the classic pop years of the 20th century in all its colourful glory – from giant jukeboxes to huge yo-yos, the fun and vibrant theming takes a fond look back at the fashions, catchphrases, toys and dances that captivated the world from the 1950s through to the to pop culture classics from the 1990s. You can even browse the Memory Wall in the foyer to find memorabilia from the year you were born. Each building is a larger-than-life 'time capsule' of pop culture, featuring slogans encouraging you to 'Boogie on Down' or 'Have a Nice Day’, but the most up-to-the-minute amenities will still surround you. Where better to spend time than relaxing in the sun and splashing about in one of the three themed pools, including the Hippy Dippy Pool, Computer Pool and Bowling Pin Pool? And satisfy large appetites at the Everything POP Shopping & Dining food court, featuring individual kitchens cooking up family favourites including sandwiches, pasta, salads, burgers, hot dogs, chicken and pizza as well as healthy options, oven-fired flatbreads and house-made desserts.

Magic Touches

One of the best themed hotels, the memorabilia, crazes and catchphrases that defined the 20th Century are everywhere you look - from jukeboxes, bowling pins and 8-track tapes to laptops, mobile phones and VCRs! Giant icons are something to look out for, as well as huge models of Disney characters from the different eras.

Everything Pop Food court covers all the family favourites including sandwiches, pasta, salads, burgers, hot dogs, chicken and pizza as well as healthy options, oven fired flat breads and house-made deserts. Mums and dads will appreciate a cocktail in one of two bars at the hotel.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is located close to ESPN Wide World of Sports Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hotel guests will have access to the regular bus transport which runs approximately every 10 minutes or can glide across the sky to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood studios on the Disney Skyliner gondola.

A classic! The park is beautiful but busy! You need to plan your visit meticulously to cover everything if trying to do it in a day. Tron is amazing a great addition for thrill seekers. It will be your longest wait. The biggest issue we had was seeing the fireworks. With walk ways blocked off by staff and having to remain behind the yellow line of tape amongst pushchairs and children sitting on the ground, it honestly becomes very stressful.

Pandora is a great addition and the Flight of Passage ride is not to be missed! The park closes at 7 in the summer. So you can easily park hop to Epcot or MK for the evening shows.

We love blizzard beach, a good mix of slides and activities for the kids. The wave pool is not so intense here as typhoon lagoon. It was clean and the facilities were good.

By far the busiest park but great fun. Remember to give yourself a good 30-40 minutes to actually get into the park and that’s a the least busy times. It’s a monorail or boat from the parking lot

My favourite and my daughter's favourite too. She was really pleased to see Jenny Hopps and watch the show in the tree of life. The Avatar ride was stunning particularly since, believe it or not, I hadn't seen the movie.

Loved MK. Rode all rides bar 7 dwarfs minetrain as queue was way too long. We have rode this before and it was not worth the queue. Still loved Pirates and river cruise. Was disappointed with splash mountain upgrade. We queued ah hour and it was rather underwhelming. Miss the catchy tune. Loved the upgrade of Big Thunder Mountain. The ride was smooth and had elements of 7 dwarfs with rocking on the track. TRON was fab, such a great ride. Only negative was that Space mountain needs a refurb. Feels rough after smoothnes of Tron. I believe that is planned so looking foward to future improvements.

Fab park. Fireworks was lovely. Queues lower on a night apart from Guardians. At rope drop dont ride Guardians straight away, wait for half an hour to let queue settle. It said 60 mins, queue was inside building, it took 45 minutes. Ride was amazing, best ride I went on. Ratatouille was very short and a spinning ride. Was little underwhelmed with this ride. Still loved soaring and the different lands. Frozen was closed. Spaceship Earth could do with an update.

Loved Avatar ride. Everest needs update as bit ricketedy now. Still love the ride. Enjoyed the safari and walk with animals. Zootopia was brilliant. Water ride was down so didn't ride it. One land being refurbed, will be great when its finished.
