Disney Resort Hotel, use Extra Magic Hours

If you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, use Extra Magic Hours – these give you the opportunity to escape the crowds and visit the parks outside of regular opening hours at no extra charge.

From early April 2025 through the end of February 2026, guest rooms in the Magnolia Bend at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside will undergo refurbishment. During this time, guests may see or hear construction work in the area.

Boatwright’s Dining Hall

A Giant boat hangs overhead in this restored warehouse once used for building ships. The casual dine restaurant overlooks the Sassagoula River and serves breakfast and dinner. Menu items include hearty breakfasts, steaks, prime rib, seafood dishes with delicious cajun flavours, Southern specialties plus there is a full-service bar. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made 180 days prior to your stay.
Riverside Mill Food Court

A working cotton press operated by a water wheel acts as the centrepiece of this food court. Several different stands serve many tastes from New Orleans including burgers, sandwiches, pasta, chicken dishes, salads, and more. There is also a country market loaded with pre-packaged items. Beer and wine are available. The food court is open from early morning to midnight and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
River Roost

River Roost is a typically old-fashioned southern style lounge that offers live entertainment by the ever popular Yehaa Bob. Light snacks and other refreshments are also served. Open daily from late afternoon to midnight.
Pizza Delivery Service

Perfect for that relaxed night in. Pizza, wings and more are available direct to your room during evening hours.
Muddy Rivers Pool Bar

Located next to the pool on Ol' Man Island, Muddy Rivers is the perfect place to relax. Sit back and enjoy the tranquil settings with one of the pool bar speciality cocktails, while the little ones have fun in the pool.

Our last visit must have been at least 20 us years ago. I really enjoyed it. It’s smaller and more compact than most Disney parks, which suited us. I thought the Starwars section was particularly good and very atmospheric. As I suffer from motion sickness, there were many rides I couldn’t go on, which is a real shame. The Indiana Jones, show was great, but hasn’t changed one bit from 20 years ago! That really surprised me.

Magic Kingdom, is our second favourite Theme Park. Tron was wilder than I thought it would be, and I suffered accordingly. It’s time the petrol cars on tracks was updated though. They spew so much noxious fumes!

An enjoyable day. Good to see the animals looking in good health and active. I admire the truck drivers commentary. They maintain their enthusiasm, despite mundanley saying the same thing over and over. Fabulous Lion King show.
