Welcome to an exquisite tropical island paradise. Discovery Cove® gives you the unique opportunity to swim and play with a beautiful Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, snorkel amongst tropical fish, glide with rays and relax on white-sand beaches.

Enjoy a whole day at your leisure to soak up the unique, indulgent atmosphere of Discovery Cove. Embark on an underwater adventure in Discovery Cove's Grand Reef where you'll snorkel among canyons and come face to face with venomous lionfish and sharp-toothed reef sharks (safely behind massive panoramic windows). Discover the Explorer's Aviary, just beyond the towering waterfalls, where you can hand-feed tropical birds, relax in the refreshing waters of Serenity Bay and float along the Wind-Away River. Freshwater Oasis features swimming and wading adventures and face-to-face encounters with playful otters and curious marmosets.

Select the Ultimate Dolphin Swim Ticket for a unique opportunity to spend 30 minutes, in groups of no more than 10, getting to know your dolphin through hugs, kisses and ultimately, a one-on-one swim together through the lagoon. Then, you have the rest of the day at your leisure to soak up the unique, indulgent atmosphere.

As a reservation-only experience, which is limited to a capacity of 1300 guests a day, it’s a rare opportunity to set your own pace. PLEASE NOTE: Those wishing to swim with Dolphins must purchase the Ultimate Dolphin Swim ticket. If you just want to accompany friends and family who are swimming with dolphins, purchase the Ultimate Non-Dolphin Swim Ticket. This includes all the same elements, except the Dolphin Interaction Session. You must be at least 6 years old to swim with dolphins. Children between 6-12 years old participating in the dolphin swim experience must be accompanied by an adult who also is participating in the dolphin swim experience. There is no minimum adult-to-child ratio, so one adult can accompany more than one child.

Terms and conditions for Discovery Cove Ultimate Package with Free Parking

  • Discovery Cove is a reservation-only experience and you must choose the date you wish to visit at the time of booking.
  • You will be issued with a Discovery Cove digital ticket which you have to present upon arrival at Discovery Cove. Your digital ticket for Discovery Cove also includes a gate-ready barcode for admission to SeaWorld, Aquatic and Busch Gardens. Visits to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens may be taken before or after your visit to Discovery Cove. 
  • Those wishing to swim with Dolphins must purchase a Dolphin Swim ticket.
  • Guests must be at least 6 years old AND 42 inches tall to swim with dolphins.
  • Children between 6-12 years old participating in the dolphin swim experience must be accompanied by an adult who also is participating in the dolphin swim experience. There is no minimum adult-to-child ratio, so one adult can accompany more than one child. 
  • Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry to Discovery Cove. 
  • Any minor under the age of 18 years participating in the dolphin swim experience must have a “Minor” waiver completed by a parent or legal guardian. If a parent is not present at check-in, they will need to complete a liability release form prior to the day at Discovery Cove and those accompanying the child will need to bring the completed form as well as a photocopy of the parent’s Driving License or Passport to verify their signature. Please contact us should you need a form sent with your Discovery Cove documents. 
  • Free transportation to Busch Gardens from Orlando on the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express is included for the duration of your ticket. Reservations are required to guarantee your seats and can be made in advance by calling 1-800-221-1339. The shuttle departs from SeaWorld and picks up from various locations in Orlando and Kissimme. The service schedule and pick-up points will vary through the year and may be subject to change.
  • In order to ensure everyone's safety, participants must be able to comprehend safety instructions in English.
  • *Cancellation Policy: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the supplier more than 30 days prior to your booked Discovery Cove visit. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 30 days of your booked visit. There are also no refunds for amendments (for example to change from Dolphin Swim to Non-Dolphin Swim) or cancellations within this 30-day period.

  • What is Discovery Cove ultimate swim?

    The Discovery Cove Ultimate Package allows guests one full day at Discovery Cove plus 14 consecutive days unlimited access to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens. This ticket can be purchased either with or without the dolphin swim interaction at Discovery Cove.

  • Is Discovery Cove worth it without the dolphin swim?

    Even if you decide not to include the dolphin swim with your Discovery Cove ticket, there is still plenty to do during your visit! All guests have access to the Explorer's Aviary, Wind-away River, Serenity Bay and the Grand Reef, where you can snorkel with gorgeous tropical fish and rays. So if you do not want to do the dolphin swim, you will still have plenty to do at the park. 

  • Can you swim with sharks at Discovery Cove?

    Guests have the opportunity to include a swim with sharks whilst at Discovery Cove. The Swim with Sharks experience can be purchased directly with Discovery Cove and allows you to snorkel and swim alongside blacktip reef, nurse, zebra and bonnethead sharks.

  • What is SeaVenture at Discovery Cove?

    The SeaVenture experience at Discovery Cove allows guests to don a specialised dive helmet and walk around underwater at the Grand Reef surrounded by exotic fish, rays and sharks. This experience needs to be purchased in addition to your main park ticket and is suitable for children 10 years and above.

  • How much is it to swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove?

    The Discovery Cove Ultimate Package ticket can be purchased with or without a 30-minute dolphin-swim session. Prices vary depending on the season you are visiting so we recommend you check the availability calendar at the top of this page. 

  • Can an 11-year-old do a Discovery Cove Swim?

    Children must be at least 6 years old to take part in the dolphin swim. Children aged 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking part in the dolphin swim.

Restrictions

  • Can I do Discovery Cove if I can't swim?

    If a guest is unable to swim, they can still visit Discovery Cove and take part in the dolphin swim experience. During the swim the trainers will only take you waist-deep in the water and the dolphins will come to you.

  • Can we still swim with dolphins if there's thunder and lightening at Discovery Cove?

    Discovery Cove closely monitors the weather reports and in the event of inclement weather, they can temporarily suspend operations. In the event of a rain storm the majority of water activities (including the dolphin swim) will continue.

  • Can you film your swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove?

    During the dolphin swim, another party member can film and take photographs from the beach area. Due to health & safety for the dolphins, cameras and Go-Pros are not allowed in the dolphin lagoon during the interaction. Professional photographers will take photos throughout the experience, which guests can purchase at the end of the day.

  • Do Discovery Cove sell swim costumes?

    Discovery Cove provide wetsuits to all visitors to use free-of-charge. Swimming costumes can be purchased at the gift shops within the park.
