Step into your own tropical paradise, with palm trees, white sand beaches and hammocks to laze in. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort consists of five brightly coloured island 'villages' which surround a sparkling 45-acre lake named Barefoot Bay. When you are wanting to grab some tasty bites, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort offers a great choice, including the newly opened SpyGlass Grill. There's also a Spanish fortress-themed pool with a slide as well as heated ‘quiet’ pools for a more relaxing swim. Experience all the fun and flair of the Caribbean at an affordable price.

Why we love it

The pirate-themed rooms offer an enchanting stay for parents and children alike. If kids can be torn away from the rooms, then they’ll love the huge feature pool with two slides - perfect for relaxing after the fun of the parks! Tron - you must ride it. Virtuell queue is actually nescessary. Lines would be hours :-( $20 for LL is heavy but understandable. Rest of the park is nice but actually a little outdated.

Lazy River - a must Do. What I don't like are the short opening hours especially the closing time 5 P.M. is much too early. Sunset would be the right time to close.

Love, love, love AK! Great rides here and brilliant food options. Don't miss the shows - they are so good! So many hidden areas to discover. Love the random entertainment dotted around the park.

Hannah Potgieter reviewed Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park 18 Sep, 2023

  • 5 stars:

Obviously the most magical park to walk into, but it does become a bit of a schlep to get from the car park to the actual park (especially when the transportation options let you down). It does get very busy but there is a lot to do and many areas to visit. Lots of food options. Try the cheeseburger springrolls. They are delicious!

  • 5 stars:

Do not gloss over the world showcase - there is so much to see and do in this area of Epcot. The food is also fab, and those hot wings are the hottest wings you will find in Disney! Try the pickle shake. Cosmic rewind is insane! Space 220 is an experience, but we wouldn't do it again. We loved the fireworks as they are so easy to view from almost anywhere in the park. Possibly out new favourite park.

Love the theming at Hollywood studios. It really comes alive at night and the fireworks show is not to be missed. Brilliant number of rides for thrill seekers and lots of other entertainment and retail shops. Food options are ok.
