You and a lucky guest can enjoy a delicious two-course lunch, showcasing British flavours and traditions. Complete with tea and coffee, friendly waiters will be on hand to see to your needs. Expect a delightful afternoon as you board the riverboat and head out on your mini voyage. With a fully stocked bar on board, you'll be well-equipped for sightseeing.
After your meal, why not take a stroll along the deck and round off your experience by capturing the magnificent view from every angle. Some of the landmarks you will see up close include the tallest building in Europe – the Shard, and a genuine WWII warship – the HMS Belfast.
What happens on the day?
On arrival at Tower Pier, you and your guest will board your river boat at the previously arranged time and commence your 1 hour 45 minute cruise along the River Thames. During this time, soak in panoramic views of London before tucking into a two-course lunch, showcasing British flavours and traditions. Then, you and your guest may head up onto the deck for an even better view of the London riverside. Enjoy good company as you take in the great landmarks such as the Shard, the Golden Hinde reconstruction, and Sir Francis Drake’s warship. There's also a fully stocked bar on board, should you wish to purchase any drinks.

Terms and conditions for Thames Lunch Cruise for Two - Experience Voucher
- This experience is a great idea for a gift, as you don’t have to commit the recipient to a particular date – the choice is theirs! A voucher will be sent to you. Simply follow the instructions on your voucher. Your voucher is open-dated and valid for 12 months. Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
- Cancellation Policy: Once you make a booking with an experience operator, you are bound by their terms and conditions. Make sure you understand their rules regarding changing or cancelling a booking (particularly at short notice), as a refund will not be offered if these rules are infringed. The Cancellation Indemnity policy may provide a replacement voucher in the event of a participant cancellation due to circumstances beyond their control.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a full-paying adult. Please note that under-18s will not be served alcohol
- Please note that some tables are situated in close proximity to other diners and are pre-allocated before boarding. All tables are fixed to the floor and cannot be moved. Your voucher entitles you to a standard seat on board. Window seats can be requested at the time of booking at an additional charge directly with City Cruises.
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location
- You can use your voucher throughout the year; there are a small number of excluded dates which include 25 December, 1 January, Valentine's (13 and 14 February), UK Mother's Day, Good Friday to Easter Monday, UK Father's Day, and Bank Holiday Mondays.
- Every sailing has an allocation for voucher guests; we advise you to book in advance to secure your first choice of date.
- All vouchers must be redeemed in advance. Regrettably, due to demand, we cannot accept voucher redemptions at the pier.
- Cruises last 1 hour 45 minutes and leave at 11.45 am (boarding at 11.30 am prompt) from Tower Pier and return to Tower Pier at 1.30 pm.
- Please check closer to the time of travelling that there are no changes to the schedule, as services may change at short notice due to the current circumstances.
