Taste of Space is the annual autumn food celebration at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, pairing limited-time dishes with the icons of human spaceflight. 2026 marks the fifth anniversary of Taste of Space, and this year's theme is Americana, a tasty nod to the USA's 250th birthday!
The seasonal food trail is called Taste of Space: Fall Bites!, and it's included in the cost of regular admission tickets, with any food purchases at an additional cost. The dishes follow the visitor complex's usual opening hours, so you can tuck in whenever hunger strikes during your day.

This year's menu brings four brand-new dishes, all inspired by classic American comfort food and autumn flavours. Here's where to find them:
Orbit Cafe (Main Visitor Complex)
- Confit Turkey with Corncakes and Orange Cranberry Vinaigrette: A hearty seasonal main with a sweet and tangy finish.
- Apple Fritter: A golden, apple-packed treat that's perfect for sharing (or not!).
Moon Rock Cafe (Apollo/Saturn V Center)
- Cassoulet Style with Pork Shank and Andouille: A rich, slow-cooked dish full of smoky flavour.
- Jumbo Apple Streusel Muffin: A generously sized bake with a crumbly streusel topping.
Our tip: Moon Rock Cafe sits inside the Apollo/Saturn V Center, so you'll enjoy your cassoulet alongside the incredible 363-foot Saturn V moon rocket. Make it your lunch stop on the bus tour, then pick up an Apple Fritter at Orbit Cafe when you return to the Main Visitor Complex.
How do you get to Moon Rock Cafe?
Moon Rock Cafe is reached on the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour, which is included with your admission ticket. The Apollo/Saturn V Center sits behind NASA's gates, and the tour takes you there via The Gantry at LC-39. We'd recommend allowing at least two hours for the tour and its stops, plus a little extra time for lunch.
The last bus tour leaves 2.5 hours before the visitor complex closes. In November 2026, that means a 2:30pm departure on days closing at 5pm, and a 3:30pm departure from 6th to 8th November, when the visitor complex is open until 6pm. Setting off by late morning gives you plenty of time to explore the Apollo/Saturn V Center and enjoy lunch at Moon Rock Cafe.
All tour buses have wheelchair and scooter lifts, with transfers available, so everyone in your group can enjoy the Moon Rock Cafe menu.

The 2026 season launched in style with Taste of Space: Celebrity Chef Edition on 3rd and 4th October, celebrating five years of the festival. Celebrity chefs Marc Murphy, Rocco DiSpirito and Aaron May, with Jon Ashton as master of ceremonies, cooked up an exclusive VIP dinner inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex®, followed by a Food Science Fireside Chat for all guests the next morning.
