Thanksgiving Meals at Universal Orlando Resort
Celebrate this American tradition at one of Florida’s best theme parks!
Thanksgiving is one of the biggest holidays in the U.S.A., and if you’re lucky enough to be in the country during this period, immersing yourself with all the classic festivities is a must.

Universal Orlando Resort is getting ready to celebrate all the winter festivities, starting with Thanksgiving on November 28th.

The holiday is one of the highlights in the American calendar, usually involving a day of rest, family, and - most importantly - eating a whole lot of turkey!

For guests to the resort during this period, there are many places you can get your turkey-fix and join in on the celebrations…

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Thanksgiving Day Buffet
From 12pm - 7pm, enjoy a traditional holiday buffet with nods to the tastes of Italy at Trattoria del Porto restaurant. There’s salads, an omelet and risotto bar station, pasta station, and of course a carving station too, plus loads more to feast on. Sample desserts such as pecan bourbon pie, caramel flan, creme brulee, or warm apple strudel. Yum! Prices start from $67 for adults, and $25 for children (3-9).

Hard Rock Hotel

Thanksgiving Day Breakfast Buffet
Start your Thanksgiving day off right, and fill-up on a tasty range of delights from 7am - 11am in the Avalon Ballroom. Expect classic breakfast items such as bagels, waffles, french toast, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and loads more! Prices start from $25 for adults, and $15 for children.

Thanksgiving Day Buffet
Head to The Kitchen for all your Thanksgiving lunch needs, which is offering slow-roasted country ham, sage butter roasted turkey, and herb smoked NY strip loin for its main meat options. Enjoy the feast from 11am - 4pm, and prices start from $67 for adults and $24 for children.

Down in the Islands Dining Room, a tropical feast is the theme for this Thanksgiving meal. There’s a stir-fry station, a carving station with soups and sides, and an array of freshly baked desserts. Get there between 11am - 9pm, and prices start from $59 for adults and $27 for children.

Thanksgiving Dinners in the theme parks

Last year, Universal Orlando Resort also served Thanksgiving feasts in the theme parks for the very first time. While there’s no word yet on whether this will be going ahead for 2019, we’ll be sure to keep you updated either way. Check back here nearer the time.

In the meantime, here’s what was on offer in 2018...

Quick-service Thanksgiving dinner - A turkey feast for four was served up at Classic Monster Cafe (Universal Studios Florida) and Thunder Falls Terrace (Islands of Adventure), for four days only.

Full-service Thanksgiving dinner - For just one day (on Thanksgiving), Lombard’s Seafood Grille (Universal Studios Florida) and Confisco Grille (Islands of Adventure) had a turkey dinner on offer. Diners could pick an appetiser of their choice, a turkey entree, and a choice of dessert.

Other Thanksgiving Entertainment

The Christmas season is actually already underway at Universal Orlando Resort by the time Thanksgiving comes around, however our top pick for celebrating this traditional American holiday is to watch the Universal Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s - a festive favourite that features characters from Madagascar and Shrek.

On November 28th (Thanksgiving Day) the parade starts at 5:15pm, in Universal Studios Florida.
