Disneyland® Paris Access Cards
You can apply for an Access Card as soon as you arrive in the Parks, at one of the dedicated desks by the entrance. You can also pick one up at a Disney Hotel reception or the ticket offices at the Park entrance.
There are two types of Access Card, and it's worth knowing the difference so you know what to expect from each:
- Priority Card
- Easy Access Card
Priority Card
If you have official proof of a disability accepted by Disneyland® Paris, the Priority Card is for you. It gives you priority - though not immediate - access to attractions, theatres, outdoor shows, parades, Character meetings, and the checkout at restaurants and shops.
You can apply for your Priority Card online from one month before your visit, which we'd always recommend to save you time once you arrive. You'll then be able to collect it at a Disney Hotel reception or the dedicated desks at the Park entrance, using your file number along with your proof of disability and ID. You're also welcome to request it in person on the day, at the same locations. It's valid for the whole duration of your stay.
Easy Access Card
If you have a recognised long-term chronic condition, the Easy Access Card is designed with you in mind. Rather than immediate priority access, it works a little differently: you'll present your card and 'appointment book' at an attraction, and a Cast Member will give you a time to come back and ride, so you can spend your wait doing something else, rather than standing in line.
This card can only be requested in person, on the day of your visit, at a Disney Hotel reception or the dedicated desks at the Park entrance. You'll need to bring the original of a medical certificate - written in English or French by a medical doctor, signed and dated within the last three months - confirming a chronic disease or long-term pathology (it doesn't need to name the specific condition). The condition needs to appear on Disneyland® Paris's recognised list, based on the French Ministry of Health's ALD classification.
Services for neurodivergent Guests at Disneyland® Paris
We know that visiting somewhere new can feel like a lot, so Disneyland® Paris offers a range of support to help Guests with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodivergent Guests feel comfortable:
- Access Cards
- Stroller/pushchair hire
- Service animals welcome throughout the resort
- The Accessibility Guide, with sensory information about restaurants (bright lighting, loud music, and so on)
There are plenty of toilets around the Parks, and while there aren't dedicated quiet areas, you'll find benches and places to sit and rest throughout both Parks.
Blue Booklet
Disneyland® Paris has put together the Blue Booklet especially for Guests with autism and their families. It's a lovely, reassuring resource that covers everything you might want to know before you go, including:
- Preparing for your visit
- What to bring with you
- Where to get help in the Parks
- How to get to Disneyland® Paris
- Activities including Character meetings, rides and attractions
- Sensory levels for individual attractions
- Information about restaurants
- Information about Disney Village®
Mobility and accessibility at Disneyland® Paris
If you're visiting with someone whose mobility is affected by a disability, here's what's available to help make your day as smooth as possible.
Designated parking spaces
A limited number of designated parking spaces are available for Guests with disabilities and additional needs, along with spaces in the motorhome car park. These are marked with the wheelchair symbol throughout the resort.
Wheelchair hire at Disneyland® Paris
You can hire manual wheelchairs and pushchairs from the Stroller and Wheelchair Rental points in Disneyland® Park and Disney Adventure World. These can't be pre-booked and are subject to availability.
Accessibility at restaurants
You'll be pleased to know all restaurants and shops at Disneyland® Paris are wheelchair accessible. If there's somewhere in particular you'd love to eat, we'd recommend booking ahead so you don't miss out.
Service animals at Disneyland® Paris
Guide dogs and assistance animals are always welcome at Disneyland® Paris, though they may not be permitted on every attraction. Cast Members aren't able to look after your service animal for you, so they'll need to stay with another member of your party if you'd like to ride without them.
Remember to bring:
- Lead or harness
- Travel documents and proof of vaccinations
- Proof the animal is a registered assistance animal
- Food, bowls and poop bags
If you'd rather not bring your assistance animal into the Parks on a particular day, the Animal Care Centre can look after it for you.
Epilepsy and photosensitivity
Disneyland® Paris uses lighting and visual effects across many of its attractions and shows, like strobe lighting, flash photography, exterior illuminations, and effects like lightning flashes or explosions. If you or someone in your party is prone to epilepsy, it's worth checking the Accessibility Map, Accessibility Guide or Blue Booklet before you plan your day, so there are no surprises.
6 top tips for visiting Disneyland® Paris with disabilities
Here are our top tips to help your day feel as easy and enjoyable as possible:
- Buy your Disneyland® Paris tickets before you travel. All our tickets are gate-ready, so you won't need to queue to exchange vouchers - you can also add a ticket and hotel package to keep everything in one place.
- Avoid the busiest times. School holidays, Christmas and weekends tend to be busier, so if you're able to, visiting outside these times means a calmer, quieter day.
- Create a plan for the day. Mapping out which Parks and attractions you'd like to visit can really help ease any worries around uncertainty or mobility.
- Think about Disney Premier Access. This paid, fast-track option lets you join a shorter, dedicated queue rather than the standard line. It's a separate product from your Access Card, but many Guests find it works well alongside one.
- Get a tag for your pushchair. If your child needs to stay in their pushchair for their comfort or safety, ask about a tag that lets you use it as a wheelchair in attraction queues (pushchairs are usually called strollers at Disneyland® Paris).
- Watch rides and attractions beforehand. If not knowing what to expect feels stressful, YouTube has footage of almost every ride and show at the resort, so you can prepare together.
Now you’ve got everything you need to prepare for your visit to Disneyland® Paris, it’s time to start planning. Call our advisors on 085 208 9029 to get started.
