If you’re in the beginning stages of planning your Disneyland® Paris holiday, you might be wondering how much time you need to make the most of the theme parks and attractions, as well as whether you should visit Paris or not.
We’ve put together this informative post with everything you need to know about how many days to spend in Disneyland® Paris, plus some top tips for budgeting.
How long do you need at Disneyland® Paris?
First things first – the all-important question! How many days do you need for Disneyland® Paris?
Well, we recommend spending at least three days at Disneyland® Paris. This way, you can spend at least one day in Disneyland® Park, one day in Disney Adventure World, and one day doing anything you couldn’t fit in or might want to do again.
There’s also Disney Village®, where you will find a variety of restaurants and entertainment, including a cinema, a tethered hot air balloon, and live music. If you need a little retail therapy or just want to grab some souvenirs to take home, then there’s a fantastic range of shops here.
If you can, try to factor in some time to relax and enjoy the entertainment and facilities at your hotel. If you’ve chosen a wonderfully themed Disney® Hotel, it would be a shame not to spend some time there too. Some of the hotels have swimming pools and spas, so you’ll definitely want to check these out during your stay.
You could potentially do this after the parks close or before they open, depending on your stamina!
Of course, some visitors spend longer than 3 days at Disneyland® Paris, for example, those who may want to take things at a bit of a slower pace, especially if they have young children or family members who tire easily or can’t walk far. Others come for just a day, as their time may be limited and they fancy dropping in as they’re staying nearby or passing en route to another part of France.
Here’s what we recommend, depending on how much time you can spare:
Quick visit | One day (if you’re visiting on a day trip from Paris) |
|---|---|
Optimal time | At least three days |
More relaxed visit | A week (explore at a slower pace) |
And here’s a sample itinerary for our recommended three-day visit to Disneyland® Paris:
Day 1:
- Arrive in the morning and check in to your hotel
- Explore Disneyland® Park
- Dinner in Disneyland® Park
- Stay for Disney Tales of Magic, the nighttime fireworks show
Day 2:
- Visit Disney Adventure World
- Spend the afternoon/early evening enjoying your hotel
- Head to Disney Village® for dinner
Day 3:
- Enjoy breakfast at your hotel
- Visit Disneyland® Park and/or Disney Adventure World and see any attractions you haven’t so far
- Depart in the late afternoon

- Hotel (stay on-site or off-site)

Top tips for making the most of your time at Disneyland® Paris
Here are some of our top tips for making the most of your time at Disneyland® Paris.
- Stay in a Disney® Hotel or a Disneyland® Paris Area Hotel. Choose a hotel that’s close to the parks, so you don’t spend a lot of your time travelling between them
- Book Premier Access Ultimate Passes. These passes allow you to skip the standby lines and get on attractions more quickly
- If you’re short on time, dine at the Quick-Service restaurants rather than Table-Service restaurants. These fast-food options mean you can grab your food and go rather than having a sit-down meal
- Make sure you book enough time to thoroughly enjoy everything you want to. And don’t beat yourself up if you don’t – you can always come back!
- Travel outside of school holidays and avoid weekends if you can, as the parks will be quieter
- Arrive at the parks early to make the most of your day. Disney® Hotel guests benefit from Extra Magic Time, which allows them to enter the Disney® Parks up to one hour earlier on certain days of the week, gaining special access to attractions before anyone else*
