The Kilimanjaro Safari tour begins in the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, across the river from Discovery Island. Climb aboard an open-sided safari vehicle for an exciting expedition through the wildlife preserve. The ride can be a bit bumpy as it crosses rickety bridges, rocky hills and rivers—but you're rewarded with spectacular sightings of lions, giraffes, elephants and more!
Fun Fact! The Harambe Wildlife Reserve spans an incredible 110 acres which means it’s bigger than the whole of Magic Kingdom Park! It takes almost 20 minutes to drive round this giant safari at Animal Kingdom and the best times to ride are first thing in the morning or in the evening.
