Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda and more are now at Universal Orlando Resort! Here’s everything you need to know.

We’re still pretty excited about the recent announcement detailing everything coming to Universal Epic Universe when it opens in 2025, but we don’t need to wait a whole year to experience exciting new attractions at Universal Orlando Resort

That's because the all-new DreamWorks Land is NOW OPEN at Universal Studios Florida, a “vibrant new themed environment inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s beloved characters Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda”. This family-friendly land features character meet and greets, a coaster, interactive play areas and live entertainment, and we can’t wait to experience it all!

Here’s what guests can experience during their time in DreamWorks Land:

Trolls

Poppy and Branch are the stars of the show sitting on top of a magnificent fountain at the centre of Trolls Village where guests can “find their happy place” before exploring the following attractions:

  • Trolls Trollercoaster - This family-friendly coaster is the star attraction of DreamWorks Land, where guests of all ages can ride the iconic Caterbus along a bright orange and yellow track to escape the evil spiders!
  • Poppy’s Playground - This shaded play area is nestled under a giant 20-foot mushroom and features bouncing and climbing structures surrounded by flowers and bugs
  • Trolls Treats - Pick up a delicious ice cream treat like a pink lemonade-flavoured Poppy-licious Pink and a huckleberry-flavoured BroZone Berry served out of Poppy’s boombox!

Shrek

A swamp has never looked so appealing! Join Shrek and all his friends for adventures at every turn, including:

  • Shrek’s Swamp Meet - Guests can head to Shrek’s cottage to meet characters like Princess Fiona, Donkey, and of course Shrek himself!
  • Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres - There’s no better place for little ones to cool off than this wet play area that features slides and fountains to climb, bounce and splash about in.
  • Mama Luna Feline Fiesta - Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish comes to life in this interactive experience set in Mama Luna’s retirement home for cats. Guests can use buttons, bells, maracas and levers to activate interactive screens and play about with the cats.
  • King Harold’s Swamp Symphony - This interactive musical experience has guests of all ages creating their own melodious masterpieces as they trigger a choir of frog ribbits by stepping on various lily pads.
  • Swamp Snacks - This snack location is serving up treats fit for an ogre like the Shrekzel, Far Far a Waffle, and Frozen Ogre.

Kung Fu Panda

There’s more fun than fighting in this area, featuring action-packed entertainment including:

  • Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp - This play area is inspired by the Panda Village. In both wet and dry play areas, guests can help the pandas wash and dry their laundry with enormous water cannons, buckets and fans, or take a ride on oversized merry-go-round noodle bowls from Mr Ping’s Noodle Shop.
  • Po Live! - This is a digital interactive meet and greet with Po himself as he teaches guests some Kung Fu moves while cooking some stir fry and looking after his cousin Ling Ling.

And if all that wasn’t enough, there are even more experiences for you to enjoy like the DreamWorks Animation Celebration, a dance party featuring hit pop songs and high-energy dancing, and the DreamWorks Character Zone, where your little ones will love meeting some of their favourite characters from Gabby’s Dollhouse and other DreamWorks classics!

This new land joins an already fantastic line-up of attractions that your kids will love, including Illumination’s Villan-Con Minion Blast which opened in Minion Land in 2023. And of course, there’s plenty at Universal Studios Florida for thrill-seekers too, like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and Revenge of the Mummy.
