What is Epcot?

Epcot is one of the 6 Walt Disney World Parks, dedicated to celebrating human achievement within technology and culture. The Park is filled with exciting attractions and educational experiences that will fill guests of all ages with joy and wonder at the world around us. 

How big is Epcot?

Epcot is a large theme park and one you will want to spend at least a day, possibly 2, exploring. It is divided into two distinct areas, the Showcase Plaza and the World Showcase, and situated around a large lake. Throughout the Park you'll find a number of exciting thrill and family-friendly attractions interspersed with cultural pavilions that aim to educate and amaze guests about the many wonderful countries there are to explore in the world. 

What rides are at Epcot?

At Epcot you can find lots of innovative rides and experience cultures from around the world. You can find rides such as Soarin' Around the World, Test Track, Mission: Space and Frozen Ever After.

When is the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot?

The Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot usually takes place around the beginning to mid May. Around the park you will find incredible topiary and floral creations of your favourite Disney characters.

What is Frozen Ever After at Epcot?

Frozen Ever After is a ride at Epcot taking you on a Nordic musical journey following your favourite characters from the film Frozen. On your journey, you'll meet Anna, Elsa and the adorable Olaf and Sven as you cruise through the icy wonders of Arendelle. 

What is Illuminations at Epcot?

Illuminations was the firework display which took place every evening at Epcot. This has now been replaced by a new firework, laser and light show (HarmonioUS). The show takes place every evening when the park closes for around 12 minutes over the World Showcase Lagoon.

Where is pick a pearl at Epcot?

You can do a pick a pearl inside the large Mitsukoshi store at the Japan Pavilion.

When does Guardians of the Galaxy open?

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a new attraction opening in summer 2022. It will feature the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster, cars that can rotate 360 degrees, and will be one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world! 

Can you see dolphins at Epcot?

Epcot currently houses 4 dolphins in its pavilion. You can also do a dolphin encounter which will need to be booked directly at the park. 

What is inside the Epcot sphere?

Spaceship Earth is a geodesic sphere that serves as the symbolic structure of Epcot. It is also the name of the attraction inside the dome. On this attraction, guests travel through time and space to explore the remarkable history of human development. 

How often does the Epcot monorail run?

The monorail runs between Magic Kingdom, Epcot and select Disney Deluxe resorts. There are 3 lines and usually run every 5-15 minutes.

How many days do you need for Epcot?

As with all the Walt Disney World Parks, there is plenty to see and do in Epcot. For this reason, we sell fully flexible Disney Magic Tickets, which allow you to hop between parks and revisit your favourites over a course of 7 or 14 days. Epcot has many fantastic attractions as well as the World Showcase to explore, so you are definitely going to want to revisit!

Where is Epcot located?

Epcot is located at Bay Lake, Florida, within the Disney area. It is walking distance to Disney's Boardwalk and a short drive or shuttle from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

How do you get from Epcot to other Disney parks?

With your ticket you have access to the Disney transportation system. This includes the Disney shuttle buses, monorail and the skyliner.

Is Epcot good for younger children?

Epcot is a great park for younger children as there are plenty of interactive activities and attractions to keep them entertained. If your children love Frozen, then they'll love visiting Anna and Elsa in Arendelle before boarding the amazing Frozen Ever After attraction o see Elsa and friends in action.

How much is the food & wine festival at Epcot?

The Food & Wine festival takes place between July and November at Epcot. The event takes a fun and cultural look at culinary highlights from around the world and brings guests closer together as they celebrate the best dining experiences from Epcot's many pavilions. The event itself is included in your general admission ticket, although food and drink is not included and need to be purchased separately.

There are so many incredible places to eat in Epcot at the World Showcase with different cuisines and flavours from all around the world. Epcot has 11 pavilions each themed and representing a different country. These include Canada, UK, France, Norway, Mexico, USA, Morocco, Japan, Italy, Germany and China.

What does Epcot stand for?

Epcot is an acronym meaning 'Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow'.

When did Epcot open in Florida?

Epcot opened in 1982 as the Epcot Centre.

How tall is the Epcot ball?

The Spaceship Earth is 165 diameter and is the largest free standing sphere in the World! The structure is 180 feet (18 stories) tall (the sphere starts 15 feet above the ground). The structure weighs close to 16 million pounds.

Parking

Can you park at Epcot?

Parking is available at a charge per day. Parking starts from around $25 per day, per car. However, if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can either walk (depending on your hotel choice) or travel to the Park using the free Disney transportation.

What time does Epcot close?

Epcot usually opens from 11am until around 7pm although times are subject to change, so it is best to check before you travel.
