Picture this: floating above Melbourne at sunrise as the city wakes below. Finish your hot air balloon experience with a delicious buffet breakfast at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park.

Your day begins at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park, where you’ll meet the friendly Global Ballooning team. Your exact meeting time is confirmed the evening before via the Global Ballooning “Safe Travels” app.
After a short safety briefing, you’ll be transferred to the launch site. Watch the balloon come to life, help with preparations if you wish, or simply enjoy the moment and take photos.
Then it’s time to fly. Spend around one hour drifting peacefully over Melbourne at sunrise, taking in breathtaking city views as the morning light fills the sky.
After landing and packing away the balloon, return to the Pullman Melbourne on the Park to enjoy a buffet breakfast, complete with a glass of sparkling wine, plus tea, coffee and juice.
Departs:
Daily. This flight does not operate on 25th December.
Start times:
1.5 hours before sunrise (to be confirmed the evening before the flight departure).
Duration:
Approximately 4-4.5 hours, including driving to the launch site, setting up/packing down the balloon, the flight, driving back to the meeting place and finishing off with breakfast.

Important Information & Terms
- All balloon flights are weather-dependent; your pilot will determine if it is safe to fly.
- Flights depart before sunrise, and temperatures can be cold, depending on the season. Wear layered clothing, sturdy shoes, warm socks, a hat, and sunglasses. Make sure pockets have zips for valuables.
- Ballooning involves audience participation; you may assist with setup and packing away. Clothing may get dirty or stained. Global Ballooning is not responsible for clothing damage.
- The balloon has an accessible basket seating up to 10 passengers (max 2 seated). This is not guaranteed every flight — please confirm prior to booking and complete the Easy Access Basket T&Cs if required.
- Children under 6 are not permitted.
- Cameras are welcome, at your own risk.
- Do not bring bags on board; these can be left in the ground crew vehicle or at home/hotel.
- High-heeled shoes, flip flops, and open-toe shoes are unsuitable. Feet may get wet or cold; consider a change of socks.
- Burners generate heat, so a hat is recommended.
- Mobile app: Download the Global Ballooning Safe Travels app before your flight. By 6:00 PM the evening prior, you’ll receive updates on whether your flight is operating and your exact meeting time. Failure to download the app may result in miscommunication and risk forfeiting your booking.
- Parking: Discounted undercover parking is available at Pullman Melbourne on the Park (192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne) until 11:00 AM at around $10. Pay the concierge after your flight.
- Return: You will be dropped back at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park Hotel after your flight.
*Cancellation Policy:
Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the operator 7 days before your chosen activity date. AUD100.00 per person cancellation fee will be charged for bookings cancelled 7-3 days prior to travel. - No refund if the booking is cancelled 48 hours or less prior to travel or in the event of a no-show. If your flight is cancelled, the breakfast will not take place. The package will be re-booked as a whole. Please keep in mind that there is a significant time difference between Australia and the UK, so be sure to allow for this when making your cancellation. After the 48-hour window, no amendments or refunds will be provided.
